The Rams run defense defense has been underwhelming so far. I am ok with more first down passing so long as we don't abandon the run. Our success is going to key on being able to deal with Aaron Donald, I'd much rather him spend a lot of energy fighting off run blocks than getting after Brady.
Our pass defense has been more underwhelming so far and RB is our second worst position group outside of secondary.
That's why so many predict this will be a high scoring game through the air.
The combo of Fournette and Bernard isn't terrible. Plus Rojo is a really good running back if all you ask him to do is run. Our RB corp is not terrible or anything.
The loss of AB will certainly sting but we at least do have solid options behind him. Brady seems to have a good rapport with Scooter and I am big on Tyler Johnson.
Like I said though, Aaron Donald is one of the scariest dudes in the NFL. If he gets going in this game, he can wreck our offense near single handedly. I don't know what our gameplan will be but I'd bet everything we do will be keyed off where Donald lines up and what Brady thinks he's going to do.
Looks like JPP is banged up a bit, we should see a lot more JTS.

This is Jason Pierre-Paul’s Instagram page. He missed practice with hand and shoulder injuries. Looks like he was flying somewhere to get checked out. And he mentions setbacks.

That's not good news. But if there is a silver lining if he misses some time we get to see more of what JTS has to offer.

Looks like we got a lot of Bucs bad luck to make up for after last year.
You posted this exact rant probably half a dozen times before games last year. Teams get banged up going through an NFL season. First time?
Yeah, it's not like we lost Vea and Howard for the year or most of it, and had Evans, Godwin and Rojo hobbled for large stretches. I mean, can you imagine if we had to start a street free agent in the Super Bowl?

Defense is falling apart. Crazy. Dean and cd3 both gimpy. JPP likely out. AB out.
Just in time for a very important game vs the Rams
This game could literally determine which team gets a bye week in the playoffs.
I mean if they beat us straight up, fine, but we're not going to be close to full strength.

You play with the guys who are available and you don’t make excuses. Get a grip, kiddo. The Rams are deal with injuries as well. Their starting RB is likely out Sunday and their top edge rusher missed practice today with an injury. You won’t find a team that’s at “full strength” past week 1. Maybe even before.

People forget we had a rash of injuries last season. This is football and the goal is simply to make it to the playoffs. I don’t expect this team to go undefeated so I’m not worried about a few losses if we can’t overcome injuries. I watched this team lose damn near every game against good teams last year only to destroy the league when it mattered. We will get healthy and do the same again.

If Brown is out, I wonder if this is the game where we unleash Gio Bernard.
My thinking as well. We need someone who can get out in space and uncover easily. AB is elite in terms of separating from coverage. Not many WRs in this league get open as easily or as quickly as he does. Closest guy on this roster would probably be Gio out of the backfield.
What an awful report. Not having JPP really sucks.
Rams will probably have to play us man, in which case we have superior athletes (excluding Ramsey). We should be able to still move the ball well. We can also power sweep and screen better vs their D than they can vs ours.

Double Whammy in a good way. How much worse can "Gio out of the backfield be" versus what we're getting out of Fournette and Jones? Neither of those guys are doing themselves any favors.

I think we have a bottom 1/3 RB room in the NFL.
You can't be strong everywhere.
Maybe, maybe not. We still have the tools to get something done though. Fournette is a good back. He's not in the class of guys like Henry or CMC, guys who can dominate games on their own, but he's efficient and versatile. Gio is a good third down option and Rojo is a good runner if nothing else.
I do think RoJo has finally worked his way out of the building. I wonder if we could get anything at all for him in trade now.

I was going to give a response and had to stop. We have such an embarrasment of riches that we have like 5 guys who take the slack. Maybe we start throwing at Brate and Howard. Maybe Scotty Miller or Tyler Johnson show up. Maybe it's Gio out of the backfield. Maybe It's just Evans and Godwin doing Evans and Godwin things.
As long as we can keep Brady upright, I am not concerned with his ability to find a target.

AB’s ability to get separation is elite and few WRs can match it. No one else on our roster can match that so it is a loss. We still should have enough weapons to score 35 this Sunday so I’m not worried. We have too many weapons to bitch about one temporary loss.
I can honestly say this Buccaneers offense is as loaded an attack as the NFL has seen in 20 years. The current Chiefs, the Greatest Show on Turf and the 2007 Patriots come to mind. This team has that level of offensive firepower.

The difference is that we have far more options than any of them, though those other teams arguably had some greater individual stars. I don't think any of our weapons is equal to prime Tyreek, Marshall Faulk or Randy Moss but none of those teams had so many above average targets.

The Rams are probably the most balanced as well. Faulk provided production from the RB position the rest of us can only dream of.
