They didn’t have to deal with multiple injuries like this last year. Hope guys can come back and the team can stay in the hunt for a top seed.
Our SoS looks to be easiest of the remaining NFC contenders.

We're 4 games into a 17 game season. Many fans are being irrational.

At the end of the day as long as we're healthy and have Tom Brady in the playoffs I like our chances.

The Super Bowl isn't played in October. This 2021 Bucs team is going to be evaluated based on they play in January.

McCoy could’ve made an honest mistake. It’s his personality and brand to own up to it. Good for him. The truth is there isn’t a moral police for the NFL and no one cares.
Nailed it
The thing is, though, what he did was the opposite of "owning up to it". He threw his Doc under the bus after he got caught. Owning up to it is saying "I did something wrong", not "someone else did something wrong that I got in trouble for but I totally take responsibility for that other person's mistake". Now it is certainly possible that this was all his doctor's fault (though very unlikely) but that would be a different case than "owning up to it" as well.

Nobody gives a shit though. The rules are often incoherent and only occasionally (and sometimes selectively) enforced. And the whole Junkie thing was just a dig at Bootsie.

Did anyone see Lawrence Guy flip (I think) Wirfs like he was 180 lbs? It was after a play was over and I thought man that guy has to be super strong the way it looked.

Could've sworn that was 78 and not 76.

Edit: Confirmed. It was Wirfs.

I halfway wondered if it was an act to try and get a penalty.

Watch it again. Before you click on it, there is Smith standing off by himself and then he goes and plows into the pile (the back of Wirfs legs) and then Wirfs comes flying out.

Hard to tell if that made a difference. But as you said, momentum or not he got tossed like a rag doll.

Considering the weather, place they were playing, opponent, and all the injuries in the secondary, it went as well as can be expected... I do question the "risk it for the biscuit" plays at the end of that last drive though

We only needed 7 yards to keep drive alive!!!!

And Mack did it in the context of a play. This dude was getting in his extracurriculars.

All in all, I am not disappointed that we can count on two fingers both reps where our second year player didn't look stellar.

Yup. Wirfs has been hip tossed twice, after the play was over. Otherwise, he's given up one sack in his career and that was to Khalil Mack.

Anyone have a problem with Wirfs?

Nope. In all likelihood he will end up one of the best offensive lineman to ever suit up for the Buccaneers if he stays healthy. One can certainly argue that he’s already up there based on his performance during the Super Bowl run

I'll take it.

If you're going to have a run of injuries, its best to have them early in the year. Guys can rally around each other and guys who wouldn't play can get some meaningful experience. It also makes Bowles have to grind. Its almost impossible to suss out the signal of a game in a complete downpour, but this was definitely his best called game thus far. Hopefully that continues.
