The NFC QBs are an embarrassment. The AFC will probably win like the next 10 straight super bowls. The colts and Texans will be getting young talented QBs this year so it's going to be more in favor of the AFC after the draft.
Right now Hurts is the only threat at QB in the NFC and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Trey Lance is still a wildcard. He's only 22 (2 years younger than Trask, younger than Will Levis) and to this point has 100 pass attempts in his career. The ceiling is extremely high for him and in that offense he can definitely reach that potential.
The AFC has had better QBs than the NFC for most of the last several decades tbh. Only when Brady first came here did it kind of shift towards the NFC but then the AFC ended up getting some young studs in Burrow and Herbert at that time too.

Did Antonio Brown cost this team a third Super Bowl in 2021?
Idk if he cost us a Super Bowl repeat, but he definitely heavily contributed to us falling short. Brady desperately needed him after the Saints targeted Godwin's knee and instead of being reliable for Brady when he was needed most, he took off his jersey and acted like a Thug.
We still came within a retarded Bowles blitz call away from Brady notching the 2nd most impressive post season comeback win of his career even without Brown. Had he been there, there's a strong possibility that the outcome would be different.
I am a firm believer that if we beat the Rams then we absolutely go on to win the whole thing and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

“Targeted Godwins knee.” It was a clean hit and we still would have had to win two more games even if we force OT against the Rams. Last I checked, AB doesn’t play defense, which even before the long bomb to Kupp, in that game, our entire D blew.

It was targeting when it happened, and it's targeting now. The Saints are a dirty filthy scumbag org that protects pedos and pays players to injure the opposition. They don't get the benefit of the doubt.

Very true. Countless other moments could've turned the game through those 60 minutes. Truth is the Rams were the new loaded us, and without Wirfs I'm not entirely sure we beat the Bengals either. But maybe we do. It's any given sunday for a reason.

As of today, the Lions have the eighth-best odds to win the Super Bowl , according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
I just have the weirdest feeling in my gut that the Lions are getting overhyped and are going to disappoint hard in 2023. I hope I’m wrong because that fanbase has suffered enough, but I can’t shake the feeling that people are buying too hard into a late season hot run that doesn’t spill over into a new season.
They went 1-6 at the strong but finished strong at the end. With that said they got loads of great picks and a good draft class could do wonders for them.
If Jameson is what he's suppose to be over the top with Ra and Swift underneath... but they need to fix that defense. Even in the NFC.

They’ve got a good team…but they also have Jared Goff. If they were to make a trade for Lamar Jackson, I’ll be calling my bookie within five minutes.

Goff played well for the Lions last year, finishing sixth in the NFL is both passing yards and TDs.
If the Lions continue to build well, I see no reason why they can't curbstomp their division. The Packers without Rodgers are gonna struggle imo, the Bears are all potential but no performance at this point, and the Vikings roster is in upheaval.
Goff can rack up the stats in the regular season. I don’t think that’s ever been a question. It comes down to whether or not he can go win you a game and put the team on his back.
I would take him over Trask and Mayfield that’s for sure

Because he’s such a proven winner?
I mean, he has a 45-16 record as a starter and has an MVP to his name. So yeah, I’d call that a winner. He’s no Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady, but I’d put him above a guy like Jared Goff or *gulp* Baker Mayfield.

That's a long lost of issues that a Lions need to fix before replacing Goff. He's not the issue right now. They get a defense that isn't a liability and their offense keeps trucking, they'll be a dangerous team.
We play them this year and I'm not looking forward to it, personally.

On the other hand, they have 2 first round picks. They have a limited quarterback, but a guy good enough to play while a youngster sits. They have a coach and FO with a relatively long leash at the moment.
Seems like a perfect moment to draft a QB, especially if one is available at #6 they like.
"So let's get to the point
Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."
Detroit is why I say these mock drafters projecting a QB to be available in the teens are smoking a new brand of crack.
The Lions acquired Goff in 2021 but did not give him a raise or an extension. They know he's not the answer long term. But he's better than a lot of QBs right now. IMO there's a 95% chance they draft a QB at 6 if one of the main 4 slide.
They owe him no more guaranteed money and only take a $5mil cap hit if they release him next offseason to go along with over $26mil in savings. Best thing they are doing now is keeping quite about their intentions but I truly believe QB is the way they will go.
