Does Kancey signal a shift to more 4 down lineman looks?

Shouldn't be drafting for need. That's how you make reaches.
We did 3 years ago with Wirfs and it worked out.

You also need to be smart with the draft. We basically are saying with this pick “We fucked up last year.”
Wirfs was not a reach

Edit: Philly has loaded DL and they traded up to add another one. We are not loaded

Always use good DL

Belichick the genius. Traded back. Steelers go up and take B. Jones who Jets coveted hard. Jets miss out. Patriots still get their annual CB.

Nice.

I just don't like taking outlier players with early picks.

Doubt it. We ran 4-3 from Monte Kiffin to Mike Smith.

Bowles brought the 3-4 so it's here to stay.

I love how the board has simultaneously been naming "need" players all offseason and didn't mention him or the DT position once. Yet somehow now it's a "bad pick made for need".

Y'all too much.

Kancey was easily one of the top 3 BPAs on the board. Not mine (obv Branch) but easily a lot of GMs.

After looking into it, I don’t think Q. Johnston will be a #1 NFL WR.

But, he can slot in well on that team and not be forced into that role quickly.

If not then I'm wondering how he'll be used. I think sticking him at 5 tech is a complete waste of his strengths.

Maybe they see him as an edge?

Will be interesting to see what Bowles does with him.

People make too much of a fuss over 4-3 vs 3-4.

It's really not what it was before, especially in the Bowles defense. You do an over or under alignment and it's moot.

Wirfs was also arguably a top 10 projected pick.
Regardless we were desperate for a tackle three years ago and took one. I am all for picking a mix of BPA and need…just don’t see it with Kancey, esp since we picked Hall with first pick last year. Hope I’m wrong. Time will tell. I was just really hoping for a playmaking TE or OL where I feel we are super weak in. Even edge rusher.

Dude what does this even mean?

I can find you a board that has Stetson Bennett as a top 3 BPA right now.

If Levis makes it last Minnesota, he most likely drops to the 2nd round.

Word on the street is Buffalo is looking to trade out of the 1st, if that's true that could be where someone trades back into the 1st for Levis.

Easily huh? And you know this how? A lot of mocks I saw had this guy mid to late 2nd round. But hey, you have the inside info. Surprised you didn’t guarantee this pick.

We they should. There was heat building around a trade for Dhop, wonder if they still make that trade to give Lamar an insane amount of weapons to work with

PR tweeted about Kancey awhile back, and a pretty savvy Bucs fan pointed out how he compares favorably to Donald… besides in Alma Mater and measurables.

Mayfield is objectively not good. Trask couldn’t beat out Gabbert for QB2.

If Licht wanted to flex nuts and get Levis, I’d be along for the ride.

Got a feeling the two stud TEs gonna be going soon. Dallas gonna take one of them. Can see the Jags taking another.

Looking at the next 14 picks….

Nothing there for Levis. If LVR don’t take him at 38, his best hope is Tennessee at 41.

Giants move up one pick. Guessing they want someone Dallas does, too, and outbid Jags to get him. Mayer or Kincaid maybe.
