egg freaking sackly. Oh no, we lose out and don't have to give up a ton of draft capital to draft our QBOTF, or we don't lost out and we have Trask making circus peanuts next season as our starter to see what he's got.
Or, my favorite, we draft our QBOTF in the draft AND we play Trask next year to see what he's got.
You don't get it. If the answer to "why should we start Trask" or any player isn't "because we think he's better than the guy he's replacing, then they won't be starting. Period. It boggles my mind that you don't understand this.
I keep posting the same thing eleventy billion times, and you keep responding with the same thing.
Nobody knows what Trask will be if given the chance in a live, meaningful game. Everybody knows (and has known) what Baker is. You seem to hate Trask for some reason.

But you just said players making big money should get playing time over players who get paid less. Which one is it, tootz?
Clearly, you think talent should not equate to playing time.

And you've been wrong eleventy billion times. That's not how NFL operate. Changes are made with the expectation of an improvement..Not "maybe, maybe not".

…and that why Aiden oconnel, taylor heinicke, and Tim Boyle, are starting qbs, right?
There is going to be a lot of teams that are going to fire their HC's. If Bowles gets fired after the end of the season, how many of those other teams looking for a HC would hire Bowles?
Same for Baker Mayfield. There are going to be a lot of teams looking to go in another direction as far as the QB is concerned. If Baker Mayfield becomes a free agent, how many other teams would be interested in him?

Absolutely zero teams will hire or even interview Bowles. You're not just talked about a two-time retread, you're talking about one with a .400 career winning percentage in his 60s.
Mayfield's best shot is as a prized backup for a team with a stable QB situation, or to go another way, as the seat-warmer for a pup on a terrible team. We were his last shot as an undisputed starter. He showed us multiple times just yesterday why that is.

Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."

Because they are seen as improvements over the guys they are replacing, yes.
Because, much like us, they’re current (us)/previous (them) starter ain’t cuttin it, and they have an unknown commodity that they’re testing out to see what they have in that unknown asset.

I agree with you about Bowles and his head coaching prospects. He's like Wade Phillips, who was a great defensive coordinator but left much to be desired as a head coach. The former talent allowed him plenty of shots at the latter job, but he'd inevitably screw it up and be busted back to coordinator after a few disappointing years.

White, JTS, CD3, Dean all have been taking bad angles, overrunning or some stupid technique issue. Is it the coaching, the player, I just don’t get how these guys are the experienced bunch and still make these stupid mistakes.
There was an article on Pewter Report about how the lack of accountability and not fearing for their jobs (DBs/iLBs) not worrying about being benched. It took media calling out Ryan Neal in press conferences over and over for Bowles to even reduce his role. It's 100% on coaches
