Welcome Tavierre Thomas

Bucs get another CB to add to the mix. They went after him last year but he signed with Houston. He got the message this time

More secondary depth is needed. He is a guy PFF likes so hopefully this isn’t another Ryan Neal situation. I think it’s good that Izien just isn’t being handed the nickel job and he has to beat someone out though.

Izien had a pretty good season opener then he remembered who he was.

He was only targets 68 times last season. On face value, that means they were picking on someone else, so he was better than some of our other defenders you would think...until you see he gave up 49 completions.

Now scratch your head and look at T Thomas and Bryce Hall.

I'm calling in Beanie Bishop to see if he can run with the big boys.

Tavierre Thomas allowed 32 of 39 targets and Bryce Hall 7 of 12. Ryan Neal 23 of 25 targets. Carlton Davis was 51 of 79. Antoine Winfield is 26 of 37. Either PFF stats are bad of we had the worst secondary...wait a minute

Our linebackers were bad in coverage also - except for the guy that's gone. White shoulda lost 20 lbs and become a safety.

The thing about judging defensive backs on being targeted is it doesn’t take into consideration how many times a QB won’t target them due to good coverage.
