Your Buc Big Board
Your Buc Big Board
It's that time! Put it on paper the prospects you believe in!
Re: Your Buc Big Board
This is the least I’ve paid attention to the draft in years and I’m quite disappointed about it. I won’t have much to contribute.
I paid attention to QBs the year we re-signed a guy to a fat deal.

I liked @Cheb ’s tiered board. You have your no chance guys. Your run to the podium guys. Your good chance to be there guys. And then the I’m a little disappointed guys.

Re: Your Buc Big Board
I like your board Cheb. I was going to do something similar but I'll just make changes to yours.
For one I have Cooper easy higher in the sprint to podium tier. He's my Brian Branch this year. If love to see what Bowles does with him and he fills our biggest coverage needs.
Id say he, Latu, Verse, BTJ, Barton, JPJ are my real targets this drafts. Big crushes on this group. The 3 CBs after that.
Licht also operates on a tier system. If there a top 15 tier guy falling he'll totally trade up for him. Likewise if there's plenty in a tier we're in we could trade back. I have a feeling it's a small trade up coming.

If Bowers has an OJ fall I'm ready to be hurt again.

Darius Robinson might be the only one around although I heard JPJ is dropping because of a shoulder issue. I think many on this part of your list could be a trade down. But I don't even want them (maybe Leggett later).

Re: Your Buc Big Board
Who in the top 100 don't you want?
Re: Your Buc Big Board
I'm adding Ladd McConkey too. In the first. He can really Puka Kupp for us.
Re: Your Buc Big Board
I believe he will be drafted in the second round. I'm fine with that
Re: Your Buc Big Board
I want Cooper Dejean, a unicorn at CB
Re: Your Buc Big Board
Sigh. Yeah, I reflect back to when I started this process and I was drafting DeJean and Quinton Mitchell with our top two draft picks.
Just suffer with the rest if that was what it was..
Re: Your Buc Big Board
With the new kickoff rules, yes. Also, he averaged 8 yards per carry rushing last year. Maybe he can spell Rachaad White (the second part is joking as he had a rush versus Northwestern last year)
Re: Your Buc Big Board
Darius Robinson has moved up for me. Have him over Chop. Big man, ready to go now. Thats a mean front.

I can't figure out why Chop Robinson is rated so high. He hasn't really produced in college.
Someone that knows more about this, enlighten me??

18% pressure rate was 6th. Elite athleticism. High motor.Selmon Rules wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 7:19 pm I can't figure out why Chop Robinson is rated so high. He hasn't really produced in college.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024 ... ong-class/Chop Robinson tested as one of the most explosive edge rushers at the NFL Scouting Combine thanks to his 4.48 40-yard dash and 10'8" broad jump. That ability matches the tape where he erupts off the line of scrimmage, which allows him to to get past most offensive tackles by simply bending and dipping under a block. Robinson's work with his hands is just as quick when rushing the passer, as he as able to detach himself from an offensive lineman's hands, leaving them falling forward. Robinson's push-pull move to reach the pocket through a bull rush and two-hand punch can result an offensive lineman falling into their quarterback.
If he is initially stymied, he keeps working to find a new opening. Robinson is also solid against the run, ensuring he can force ball carriers back inside by sealing off the edge. One concern with Robinson is that his tools didn't equate to stats in a big way (11.5 sacks in three years. With better coaching and developed pass rush plan, he could take off. Todd Bowles and his coaching staff could be a nice landing spot for Robinson. They were able to maximize Shaq Barrett after he was underutilized by the Broncos. Perhaps they can do something similar with Robinson.

60 tackles in 30 games - hope?

Because his athletic profile comps to Micah Parsons and his flashes are sublime.Selmon Rules wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 7:19 pm I can't figure out why Chop Robinson is rated so high. He hasn't really produced in college.

191 tackles in 26 games. If no production, I ask myself why. It's in the resume.Cheb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 11:10 pmBecause his athletic profile comps to Micah Parsons and his flashes are sublime.Selmon Rules wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 7:19 pm I can't figure out why Chop Robinson is rated so high. Re: Your Buc Big Board
All of them his potential should have produced results in college against lesser athletes than he will be seeing in the NFL though.
I've not seen him play, Big10 not on my TV often

Re: Your Buc Big Board
It can be a mistake to try to draw such a direct comparison. The Parsons example has already been mentioned. Didn't put up tons of numbers in college. And was a DPOY candidate pretty immediately in the NFL.
That is the best case scenario of course. But that is the argument for Chop and similar prospects.

College prospects are on a downward spiral.
Re: Your Buc Big Board
I think he's closer to Will McDonald than Micah.
