You're forgetting we signed Longoria to a 9 year deal his rookie year in 08. He wasn't traded until after the 2017 season, when he was 32 and had been with the team for 10 years. I'd hardly call that flaking out after a few years. He spent his peak years here and it's clear we got the best version of him. San Francisco has regretted trading for him. He is not the player he once was.
