Ok? I was responding to a post that suggested they weren’t one of the better franchises over the last decade.

I guess it depends how you want to measure it? If it’s year in and year out consistency they clearly are.
Just talk to their fans...they could care less about the RS accolades. If we lost the SB in 02 would we go back and reminisce how great the regular season we had then? I doubt it!

For them it's Bill Murray's groundhogs day
Grass isn’t always greener. You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. …

Anyway.. No, I wouldn’t trade either of our Super Bowls for 10 years of 10 wins either.

I see both sides.

Exactly grass isn't greener but franchises that have past success, its their time to take downturn. For Tampa its our "turn"

I am grateful its the Glazers and not the Rooneys.

Ironically the Glazers and Rooneys have the same number of SB wins in this century.

Which ironically is the same number as Dan Marino, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees combined have.

Rodgers going to Pittsburg and a legit OC would immediately put them in the conversation.

JJ McCarthy era begin!!!

The Minnesota Vikings "seem more likely to let QB Sam Darnold sign elsewhere and preserve their franchise tag."

For a little while there I thought they would trade McCarthy. I think this is a good move.

So if I was Pitt I would make a play for Darold.

Agree with the OC, though I think with Darnold you could get more years, Rogers is on his last leg if he can still stand.

With the crazy contracts fools are giving QB's these days, I'd take a rental over a long-term franchise destroyer everyday of the week.

Rodgers hand picked his MVP OC and WR and still failed miserably. What OC could Rodgers work with to turn things around? Old dog learn new tricks?

Tomlin's locker room is strong enough. Tomlin is established enough. Rodgers won't bully in Pittsburgh.

Is Adams just going to follow Rodgers somewhere?

A Rodgers/Adams combo and then drafting Egbuka or Burden would be really intriguing if I were the Steelers.

I don’t know, but I like what I see him in the last eight games. We’ll see how he do in 2025.

Los Angeles Chargers star pass rusher Joey Bosa is likely to be released before he collects a $12.36 million roster bonus next month.

Bosa, a former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and a five-time Pro Bowler, is coming off of his healthiest season since 2021, playing in 14 games for Los Angeles and recording 22 total tackles, 5 sacks and 13 QB hits.

One of his healthiest seasons??? He was on a pitch count for most of the year. 9 of 17 games he either didn't play at all or played less than 50% of the Chargers defensive snaps. He wasn't very productive when he did play. It's obvious the injuries have taken a toll.

Within our division, only Carolina has more cap space than the Bucs.

Big Ben rip the Steelers organization
Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger went on his podcast 'Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger' to rip the Steelers organization for not changing their "old ways":

“You have to evolve. You can’t assume everybody wants to play for the Steelers. People used to want to play for Pittsburgh for a Super Bowl chance yearly.”

There is a valid complaint though in seeing a team not doing "enough" to get over the hump.

I'm pretty sure you said you weren't following the team prior to Gruden, but in the years just before, this team constantly hit the roadblock of Philly and out. Year after year, "Philly and out".

Glazers saw a closing window and pulled the trigger for Gruden to get over the hump. That's not saying what Dungy did was anything short of one of the most remarkable turnarounds in the league, but the team was capable of more. Dungy was still a remarkable coach regardless of what the team needed to get over the hump.

The difference I see in Pittsburg is I don't see a closing window of talent that Tomlin just isn't getting over the hump.
Having said that, if I were in his shoes, I'd be looking for areas of the team that aren't performing, and bring in new coaches to address those weaknesses, and of course, a new QB.

These standards set seem to be a 1 of 1 situation. Pretty much the arguments is "well he's not winning the Superbowl so he should be let go".

Why isn't this same criticism made for 31 teams every year?
