The mom's father, the old man, papu, was the Greek rock of the family. He made desserts like nobody's business. I cannot get that stuff in my mouth fast enough, and I'm not even really all that into sweets. Just sooooooo good.

Burgers are severely overrated. Hell, I'll take a hot dog over a burger. Make it a Michigan (a comment known only to people from upstate NY http://www.mcsweeneysredhots.com/menu.html), and I'm in business.

I really only dated three Russian girls. One in high school for about a year and a half. One in college for about a year and a half. And then the first woman I dated after I got divorced for a year before that tragedy befell her.
I dated an older Iranian woman when I was in Germany. She was early to mid 30s and I was 21. Learned a lot from her, good times

Breaking News: North Carolina to Sec?

The SEC President will meet soon to discuss the possibility of North Carolina joining the conference. Is Clemson next?

https://footballscoop.com/2025/07/24/no ... ealignment

Good news for USF: they’re candidates to join the Big 12 or ACC.

I’m worried about Deion Sanders. His health issues continue to get worse.

Had his bladder removed because they found cancer. He’s missing toes now. Blood clots. Major operations on his legs.

Appreciate him while he’s here.

Need some help filling a league on fantrax. 10 spots, right now I have 4 available. It's a standard PPR. $20 entry using league safe. Payouts are $175 for 1st $25 second and $5 3rd. Top 4 make the playoffs.

With 10 players you'll have a star lineup but itll be obviously competitive. Plus with injuries you'll be able pick up replacements given how college has a huge player pool.

If interested send me a pm. Thank you guys.

Not to say that Penn St won't be good or won't make the playoffs but I think we are overrating them just a tad. Plus I'm sure Franklin will finally win a big game at some point.

They have the best quarterback in the Big Ten so they are the safest choice

If OSU can get good play out ofSayin/keinholz they will be the team to beat in a conference. But from what I’m reading, both of them still have a long way to go.

Notre Dame in a similar spot at QB but a ND podcast I listen made a great point a week ago,

"If your D is not ahead of your offense in the first week, then it will be an extremely long year"

And Funny enough the Bucs podcast Pewter Report made another similar reference not long after (Because Baker was racking up INTs recently) when the Bucs had McCown and he was tearing it up in TC and every one thought wow this is great but when the season opened McCown was bad and the D was even worse. And thus a very long year.

So I wouldn't worry about Sayin yet.

I'd agree with that. I'd even go so far as to call it conventional wisdom, at least in coaching circles.

Defense is fundamentally instinctual. So long as you're putting in effort and playing fast, good things are going to happen. Offense requires far more communication and timing, and that takes time to build. As the year goes on, the offense should work their way to a more even footing, but any player or team should be able to play the former well far quicker than the latter.

If the D isn't ahead of the O in the first week, they are not instinctual or putting in the effort or playing fast or any combination of the three. And it sucks to play with bad defenders. I can scheme up an offense and funnel the ball to my studs to score some points; if you don't have the horses on defense to run, it's going to be a long year.

And after they lose two games they'll drop into the mid-20's somewhere, yet still end up climbing into the playoff discussion.

Don't make me root against you any more than I already do.

You're wading into Alabama waters at this point, and those are bad waters to be in.
