That last drive was a rush
Re: Rapid response _Bucs prevail over the Texans
Damn this team is going to give me a coronary.
Re: Rapid response _Bucs prevail over the Texans
losing that game after dominating the run game would’ve been brutal.
Baker bailed Bowles out, after Bowles bailed him out for 3 quarters.
Baker’s best drive as a professional.
Burn the tape, take the W.

Re: Rapid Reactions Bucs beat Texans 20-19
They haven’t been pretty, but I’ll take two ugly W’s over the alternative.
Hopefully Goedeke and Kancey aren’t out too long.
Wirfs can’t come back soon enough.
Chase needs a get right week next week

Baker has balls the size of Texas
We have a run game MFs
Intermittent pass rush
It may not be pretty but this defense can actually play

Game balls to Bowles, OL coach and this Mash unit of a line.
Also game balls to Bucky and White

Re: Rapid Reactions Bucs beat Texans 20-19
That was a team that pulled victory for the jaws of defeat, the cheatin' blind officials (block in the back), and its own ineptitude of not getting any points with the field goal doink. The fact that the team stuck with it and did not panic makes it a different team than last season.
I forgot to mention the injuries. They are fighting through injuries.

What a gutsy fucking win.
Tough game and short week, worried about next week. But 2-0 feels great!

Incredible. That's great fucking coaching and team work. Yeah, you've been struggling, yeah some plays didn't go well. Gold fish memory. Go out there and do what we practices.
Fantastic start to the season. And without our OTs. Insane.

This team is going to kill me. We do just the bear minimum to win at all times and when we do lose, a few plays could have been the difference.
Thank God Houston instantly forgot how shit our linebackers are and stopped throwing those short routes underneath and just popping off for 20 yards each

My first reaction? Ill take it. 2 and 0 without Wirfs and Godwin, plus all the people hurt tonight. We knew it was going to suck without those guys but we are gritting out wins. This kind of thing builds toughness in a team, it will pay dividends if we are healthy by the end of the year and are a threat to win a ring

We found a way to win. 2-0. But man, these injuries.

Can't wait to watch the condensed replay. With our injuries, all we can hope for is escaping with wins, and we've done that twice now on the road.
Finding ways to win is something good teams do.

We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.
The New Union will correct that mistake.

That final drive was a thing of beauty. Not because it was efficient, but because it was pure effort and breaking of will. They wanted it & weren’t leaving the field without that W.
Re: Rapid Reactions Bucs beat Texans 20-19
Not taking the timeout after the Evans catch was some clock management brilliance that I don’t expect out of this coaching staff.
Masterfully done

The TOs became pretty irrelevant once we got on their side of the field.

Salute to Bowles on not calling a TO after the Baker run. He kept Hunter and Anderson off the field for another play.
Re: Rapid response _Bucs prevail over the Texans
I had no faith that the offense was going to come back to win us the game at the end...and then Baker baked on 4th down as only he can.
That was a big-dick drive, and I for one am impressed.
- Baker did well, overall, for as much as he was hit and consistently running for his life.
- Rachaad White had one of his better games as a Buc, imo. He didn't rack up yards and stats, but he was incredibly clutch.
- Bucky had some money snaps there at the end.
- The offensive line...oh boy. For only one starter (Mauch) being at his normal position, that was okay. We didn't help them as much as I thought we would've. They still blocked for 169 rushing yards against a good Texans defense.
- Evans was harassed all game by one of the better young corners in the league and still made some plays, despite getting ALOT of attention his way.
- EE was injured, maybe? Certainly didn't look as smooth as he was in the first game. That drop in the final two minutes was killer.
- Sheperd actually looked competent, for the most part.
- The defense overall I think did okay. Greg Gaines really stepped up for Kancey in relief duty. Glad to see Roberts getting some snaps and a half sack. Vea made some great plays, particularly at the goal line. Edge rush largely (again) invisible.
- Dennis was again bipolar. Maybe just hold him out of the first drive from now on.
- LVD looked old. Stiff in the hips on his drops, dropped the pick.
- Tykee looked like a stud with that sack. Zyon looked tentative after getting burned early on that first touchdown. Winfield had some baaad angles in pursuit.
- Special teams... don't get me started.
I think overall, that was a good team win. We had shitty special teams, and very poor pass protection from the OL... but we still moved the meat in the run game, Bucky/Shad had a great game between them with 180+ combined yards, and made defensive stops when we needed them.
2-0 feels good.

Yep, would have only been doing the Texans favors at that point. I expected it but was thrilled when it didn’t come

If I’m not mistaken:
Second-ever regular season win against the Texans.
First win since the first-ever time we played them in 2003.
First-ever win against them on the road.
And most importantly…revenge for 2023!

I want to know what made this your moment of resignation. Not throwing shots at all. I’m curious why this particular game.

Can't tell you how good it feels to beat a team with CJ Gardner-Johnson on it.
That might have been the best d-line we face this season and with the most makeshift offensive line I've ever seen doing a pretty decent job at it as well.
Mayfield, Vea, Tykee, Irving and White are the heroes of this one for me.

Game ball to Baker
I mean, Baker is the MVP of this game. Despite the ridiculous injuries to the offensive line, Baker never gave up and fought hard for the win.
