Yep. It always gets to be too much with him.Pirate Life wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 3:15 pmJust CJGJ being himself and wearing out his welcome like he does with every team.
2021- Saints
2022- Eagles
2023- Lions
2024- Eagles
2025- Texans(3 games)
Hes a very good football player BTW and just 27. It's him.

An upgrade over who? Tykee? I don't think so.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 2:49 pmGrahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 2:46 pm Aren't we pretty happy with the DB's? They're playing incredible. There's a reason this guy keeps getting bounced from team to team. He's clearly an ass hole.
Seem pretty clear at this point that if a guy doesn't fit the "TB Way" or the locker room Licht won't be interested.
But he would be an upgrade. Doubt it will ever happen, but it would be interesting.

I'm not saying "no one cares" but trash talking and getting into people's heads is a huge part of any sport and guys understand that. In hockey, you routinely have to welcome in a new player who got into a nasty fight with someone in the locker room. If those players can let bygones be bygones, we can too. And we can make this move.
To a degree, I have more respect for CJ having gotten into Baker's face like that than if he hadn't no differently than I respect a former Buc not taking it lightly on us. It's gamesmanship.

I don't know what words are rolling off of his mouth and locker rooms move on from him rather quickly.Swashbuckler wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 5:12 pmI'm not saying "no one cares" but trash talking and getting into people's heads is a huge part of any sport and guys understand that. I guess the idea would be slot corner
Re: ***2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Season Thread***
I'm not sure, tbh. But CJGJ is an excellent DB, that has and can play CB/S/SS/FS will almost equal ability.
But like I said before, if he's a risk to the locker room dynamic, I just can't see Licht bringing him in. Plus, we're kind of deep at DB; we'd really rather have another DL/EDGE/LB, I think.

Looks like CJ Brewer is next man up!

You didn't explain why.
That's 1 way to ensure you dont have 4 RBs & 4 TEs that you don't use on your roster.

Not just no, but hell no. He's the Jeff George of Safeties. Great talent, total asshole who no one gets along with. Secondary isn't an issue at the moment, would be with him here though.Swashbuckler wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 2:56 pmWith as much as we blitz, send it. It's not like he can't cover. They also cut S Jack Henderson from the practice squad.
Re: ***2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Season Thread***

…And for those who are concerned about your tenure here…75% of you will NOT complete the full 17 weeks of fierce competitive gridiron play…Maybe only a FEW weeks…..especially you wide receivers and defensive backs…..How do i know this? Because it is a historical fact…
So from here on out, Starting RIGHT NOW…
We’re rewriting THAT history from here on out
Wait…..
Where am I?
Re: ***2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Season Thread***
Even if CJ Gardner-Johnson were an upgrade, who is he gonna replace?
AWJ, no way.
Tykee Smith, debatably our defensive MVP, no way.
McCollum, nope.
Dean, probably not, Ben Morrison is being groomed as his replacement
Parrish, no way, dude is playing great snaps as a rookie
If CJCG were a cancerous offensive lineman instead of a cancerous defensive back, I could see the argument being made. But even then...some flames aren't worth the candle. No thanks.

I think Baker would be “Naw man, hard pass” this was after he got releasedSwashbuckler wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 5:12 pmI'm not saying "no one cares" but trash talking and getting into people's heads is a huge part of any sport and guys understand that. I didn’t know how moved that much. Goddamn. Nope I don’t want to bring him in. A yearly move means he doesn’t play ball no matter where he isBootz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 3:23 pmYep. It always gets to be too much with him.Pirate Life wrote: ↑Tue Sep 23, 2025 3:15 pm

This was at the end of the game and he limped off so there was no injury timeout.

Re: ***2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official Season Thread***
Got my info, Brandon Stephens rolled up on his leg. Thanks, I actually thought you would be the one to find this info - you are very good at it.

We Bucs fans just aren’t used to this attention.
