There isn't much to discuss anymore. Baker will be the QB moving forward and for the foreseeable future, his next contract will be with the Bucs. It would be awesome if he signed for a number more mutually beneficial to both sides, but he is under no obligation to do so. Much worse QBs have gotten contracts that reset the market, and he is well within reason to want the same, and will get it if that is what it takes. He's been an excellent QB and has all of the intangibles you want from the position. The locker room unanimously loves and would go to war for him. That is a player who you keep.

After the literal GOAT he is the best QB who has ever played for the team. His attitude, career arc, and style of play makes basically every impartial fan love and root for the dude. This really couldn't have worked out any better for the team or us as fans. If people are still on the fence I really don't know what to say other than you may as well get on board, he's here to stay.

I would put this subject to you differently.

If the Bucs had the Saints' starter, the Falcons' starter, or the Panthers' starter, and Baker was on their team, would you be more or less worried than with things the way they are in divisional matchups?

I'd be pretty bummed with having either Carolina or NO QB. I'd be hopeful with ATL QB.
