Im 44, never heard of him.

Tbh though even as a kid i was really never into Halftime shows. It cool some people are but for me, come get me when the 2nd half starts.

My favorite Halftime shows are Menefee Jimmy Howey and Terry (now Strahan and Gronk) for scores and Highlights :D

I’m not young by cultural standards, but I’m not old. I’m 35. and I’ve only heard this person’s name like twice. Never heard any of they/their music. That I know of. I’m also chronically online.

This person is the most streamed musical performer in the last year or two. And yet, people like you and I have not heard of they/them.

Definitely speaks to the different ways people are consuming media. Even people who are only a decade apart in age.
I'm 50. Never really been into music, even as a kid. For example, I didn't know the The Who and Guess Who were different bands....same as Queen and Queensryche(sp?). I heard Baba O'Reilly at the beginning of an episode of House a number of years ago and thought it was new. I'm just not interested in music that much... part of the reason why I tuned out of the Super Bowl halftime show a very long time ago.
Do you atleast listen to music? I think there's a difference between not being into music as a subject but still like listening to it on the radio or when you're driving, cleaning ect.

My wife knows every song that's ever been recorded while I have no idea who sings what I listen to. I kid her that her life is a musical with the music being the focal point, mine is not. If I had no background music it would be weird but I really don't pay that much attention to it.

While I'm not quite as musically illiterate as CF, I understand exactly what he is saying here

I get that, Sometimes i hear a new song (or maybe an older one I never heard) and i may not know who sings it and that's if i care to look it up(sometimes I do).

I hope you do enjoy the show. I just had no idea people watched SNL, much less looked forward to it.

Clearly, operating on 3 hours sleep a night is taking its toll on me. I have been doing this stupid shit since over the weekend.

Anyway, I look forward to it mostly for the musical guest and then are pleasantly surprised with anything funny. BB is the rare musical guest that is almost guaranteed to be hilarious in some sketcher other. I will report back after the show.

I think there was a time SNL was popular. Maybe it still is but i haven't kept up with it like i used to. Except for the ocasional Trump skits, I find those funny.

And somewhat recently with Dana Carvy as Joe Biden that was pure comic gold.

No, virtually never. I have satellite radio in my car, avoiding music is a big reason. In my car, I'm listening to MLBRadio, Fantasy Sports radio, or NFL Radio

Funny story. I got Sirius like in it's second year, it was like '03, '04(?), I had the receiver and the long antenna, had to turn to a radio station (87.3?), to listen. In 2013, I bought a car that had Sirius in it and wanted to transfer my account. I asked the person if I could just get entertainment, no music. They had no plan for that. The girl asked why I didn't want music, I told her I don't listen to it. She suggested to look at my account to see what stations I spent the most time listening too. Her next word was "Wow". I asked why she said that. She said that in the 10 years of being a customer, I only listened to 3 hours of music. I said that seemed hi. She said that 2 hours and 45 minutes happened in 1 week. That one week when when I let my cousin borrow my car.

I don't listen to the radio, either, I keep Waze on in my car at all times, if only to show me police accidents etc. before the program says, or sometimes when it doesn't say, but I listen for warnings.

What this has to do with either NFL football in general or the Super Bowl singer in particular, I'm not sure, but I am just following the flow of the thread right now.

Bad Bunny is 31. You 2 are in the same age demographic. I'm 39 and I've heard of him for years. He's gonna put on a good show.

A problem I have with most halftime shows is the attempt to cram every song the act has recorded into 12 mins. Bruno did this to a degree which took away from the performance. He's by no means alone in this regard. Pick 3 songs, play them entirely and get off the stage.

I’m torn. I do have to admit that I am annoyed at only part of a fav song, but then I really enjoyed the dancing along with the snippets of others.

Sadly, the front row seats are all gone.

You can still buy a row 2 seat in section C40 for only 97K and change, have a great time!

Edit: Oh sorry that's lower level club premium, whatever that means.

His lyrics are very controversial. It's been said, that if you play his songs backwards at half speed, and strip out the music, you still can't understand them.
