Caleb’s style of elusiveness reminded me of Russell Wilson at times.

He could be quite good.

Yes he was. For a guy who came from a situation where everything was on him at USC without much support from his defense or weapons, Caleb does sure look unsure and afraid of the moment. The exact opposite to Jayden Daniels. I almost wonder if Caleb would thrive if his team was expected to be the worst and him the worst QB in the league for him to play a bit loose and gain confidence. Obviously coaches and GMs would get fired if it ever came to that.

I also wonder if Ben Johnson is the right type of coach for Caleb. BJ comes off a bit like Sean Payton, a guy who will give all kinds of answers through his play design, but will get impatient of the QB is not capable of taking advantage of his scheme and tries to needlessly improvise. I just cannot see that combination working and I get the feeling Bears will try to trade Caleb next off season.

Williams and McCarthy both looked like young, inconsistent QBs. But both showed their talents as well. The NFC North is in good hands. Gonna be exciting watching these battles.

I only watched the highlights of the MNF game, but I'm not sure McCarthy progressed from his first read in any of the throws I saw him make. He was staring down his number one read like a 12 year old at Hooters.

Time to throw is much more of a QB stat than an offensive line or pass rush stat. After one game it's (unfortunately in my opinion) apparent that we're going to throw it deeper down the field.

Yup. You don't necessarily want your QB to hold on to the ball for a long time. Make quick decisions.

No coincidence that Rodgers & Stafford had the lowest TTT, while great escape artists like Murray, Hurts, Fields and Williams led Sunday in TTT.
