Basically, you can force the offense to get the ball out quick while letting your secondary play back-to-front. Keep the ball in front of them, rally to the ball.

As a situational call, I can see it, I've done similar things to force the offense to get rid of the ball. As a base defensive strategy? I just don't get it.
