Finish the sentence-If we beat the Lions, that means…
Re: Finish the sentence-If we beat the Lions, that means…
haven't read through the whole thread yet, so maybe someone else already said this, but it would give us a potential tiebreaker, right?
And obviously it would make us 6-1. Which would put us a W or two ahead of schedule, imo. I'll have to go back and look at my prediction for the season, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have us @6-1.
mostly though I think it'll be a pretty good barometer game; the actual W/L result won't be as informative as how the Bucs perform throughout the game. If they look competitive and lose, I'll feel more positive about it than if we play poorly but somehow luck our way into a W via some flukey nonsense play at the end or whatever.

Think everyone knows there's a lot of season left. Even if we get healthy and the #1 seed it's still any given Sunday.
Doesn't mean each match isn't an opportunity to evaluate ourselves. If the B team can take care of the Lions that's not just another day at the park.

Thank you. Said that better than I did.

That means for the first time in my adult life Bucs managed to build a Super Bowl contender and a franchise QB from the ground up.
I don't need a smart ass reminding me Bucs did not draft Baker. Yes, but they did draft him from the trash heap.
Also don't need a smart ass reminding me they already built a Superbowl contender just a couple years back. That team as much as I love it, felt like the Tom Brady Buccaneers.

If the Bucs beat the Lions, they are definitely in the discussion for contention for the NFC title.

the Bucs are one game closer to securing the #1 seed in the NFC.
