Understand. That was a miscall in every way possible.

That wasn’t Illegal Contact. That contact was initiated by the defender between 2-3 yards beyond the LoS, not even close to beyond 5. And by the way…NFL defenders initiate beyond 5 all_the_time. It only gets called when it’s clearly obstructive. It couldn’t have been more legal.

It certainly wasn’t Defensive Holding.

That is just a crazy, gamestate-wrecking miscall by the officials. It doesn’t get much worse than that call.
