God forbid we don't go 8-9, make the playoffs, and get blown the fuck out in the first round.

A real late-stage Gruden special.
Why the fuck would you not milk every last win you can get out of this team?

It's a three game losing streak. Act like you've been here before.
Out of what team? This isn’t the SB team. What’s the goal here? Mediocrity treadmill?

First Caleb Williams and now this? Jesus Snake. Good thing you’re not general manager.
and you're the huge fan of...

*checks notes*

Baker Mayfield? LOL!!
Once again you’re wrong as usual. I believe Baker Mayfield is better option than Kyle Trask. Next time please don’t spew any of your BS.

You'd think as a Bucs fan you could withstand being an underdog

I've seen this team pick at the top end of the draft for decades and never sniff the playoffs. What makes anyone think that's a valid plan for success going forward??

Let me tell you as the local hopium peddler there's no hopium stronger than draft hopium.

Tell me how much of his contract they’re taking on and what we’re giving up.

Watson. Wilson. Murray. All albatross contracts. And all those teams will be drafting top 15.
Cardinals and Broncos most certainly. The Browns are actually playing very well as a team. That defense is lethal and in fact if the season ended today they'd be the 6th seed.
I don't know if turning the ball over 2.5 times per game is playing very well. Defense yes, team no

Is quarterback Michael Pratt being prepared the best way for the NFL?

This is a I don't know query.

This kid already has one of the worst entourages in sports. Not sure what's worse, surrounding yourself with people who whisper these things into your ear or actually drinking their kool-aid.

Williams is 3-6 vs Top 25 opponents. Yet he acts like even he believes himself to be the second coming.

Curious, how do some of you feel about what the Jets, Vikings, Cardinals, Bears and such are doing?
You know, trying to win instead of shutting everyone and everything down.

The Jets are hoping to get Aaron Rodgers back in time for a playoff push.

The Cardinals have their franchise qb and are trying to get into the playoffs.

Bears probably have their qb and are trying to figure out how to win...they also have a ton of picks already and will most likely have the #1 pick from the panthers.

The Vikings are the only case to be made. But before the Cousins injury, he was playing out of his mind.

I’m sure many of those teams’ fans would prefer they lose games. None of them are winning the Super Bowl.

Neither are we, but I like to win as many as we can. I believe building winning culture is the key to success.

Williams and Maye, the likely top 2 picks, aren’t even winners in college.

Tom Brady became a winner and became the culture for the Patriots. He brought those winning ways and attitude here for sure. But, those early Patriot teams weren’t build around him.

It’s not some automatic thing.

According to the ESPN playoff machine, it is still possible though damned unlikely that the Bucs can win the division and then be crushed by the Cowboys in the wild card round just like last year.

I mean, I can confidently predict that this Bucs could go 5-2 against the Colts, Panthers (twice), Packers, Falcons, Saints, and Jaguars, right? More confidently than I can predict that the Bucs will go 2-5 against these guys, of whom only one team has a winning record right now? No, and no. We're not going to be swept by the Kitties, and we should probably pick up one, maybe two of the remaining games and end up with the terrible middle-of-the-first round blues, too late for elite saviors and too early to trade out for more good picks. At best for tanking purposes we crash and burn and end up with a pick somewhere between 6 and 10, or so I believe.

edit: Packers in there too.

According to me I doubt that the rest of the division will suck enough to make that happen.

So, nobody specific? I think you’re kind of a draftnik, right? I like to look at old drafts to see all of the early busts and the Coulda/woulda/shouldas of the draft.

It kind of makes you realize how arbitrary draft position really is. It’s more about the “who” than the “where.”

The 2017 draft is my favorite recent example. Loaded with hall of famers, all pros, and busts up and down each level of the first round.

Maybe if we’d won more games and picked a little later we could have had TJ Watt at #30 instead of OJ Howard at #19.

OR, been brilliant like the Chiefs were and identified Patrick Mahomes as having “it” and being undervalued. Could have simply traded up 9 spots to get him at #10. As it were 9 teams that lost a whole bunch of games passed on him.
