It’s 9:27, and Michigan still sucks, albeit a little bit less than usual.

Penn State won’t be in the Big Ten championship game if OSU wins that game.

By the way, you’re delusional to think that Penn State will win that big vs Oregon . Keep smoking some shit. You’re fortunate that Penn State didn’t play Michigan this year.

What evidence do you have of that? Was it Indiana’s big wins over the mighty Purdue and Rutgers?

Neither team has much of a schedule but Penn State at least held their own vs Ohio State while Indiana got their butts handed to them.

That said, Indiana will get in the final 12 only to prolly get crushed by Georgia in the first round. As for Penn State, they’ll keep it close vs Oregon. Motivation could be a problem in this game for the Ducks as they might be better off losing and getting the 5 seed than staying at No. 1. The 5 seed is the most coveted of all in this tournament. It’s almost like a 2-round bye.

Your predictions about college football are usually inaccurate, as evidenced by your post history.

So I didn’t bother to read after first paragraph. .

Haha you may want to go back and check my predictions about last years playoff there, chief. I think I even hit the scores almost spot on.

I’m rooting for SMU and Texas to win the conference because they’re in their first year in the conference and they’re not expected to win, especially SMU. That shows how weak the ACC is.

Texas hasn’t won the Big 12 championship since 1996, I believe. They are on the verge of winning the first SEC championship.

Oregon is expected to win the Big Ten.

Michigan is expected to rebound and return to the Big Ten championship and playoff next year because we have the top-ranked quarterback in the nation.

Google Bryce Underwood; he’s the real deal.

I am surprised they have it setup to have a potential Georgia vs Texas III. Like Reece Davis said, I hate the major flaw in this system that the 5 seed basically gets a free pass to the semis while the 1 seed is set up to have the toughest quarterfinals match of anyone in the playoffs.

Bring it on

Michigan denied Ohio State a trip to Big Ten championship for the fourth consecutive year, which felt satisfying.
Urban Meyer is apparently open to replacing Ryan Day if Ohio State ends up making a change at head coach.

Ryan Day fell to 1-4 against Michigan, losing his fourth straight game against That Team Up North, on Saturday. The Buckeyes fell to the Wolverines, 13-10, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. Ohio State dropped to 10-2 on the season, and will still make the College Football Playoff, but have failed on their first two season goals - beating Michigan, winning the Big Ten Conference. There are now growing calls for Day to be fired.

Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork gave the dreaded vote of confidence for Day on Sunday night, while speaking to the Columbus Dispatch.

“Our full focus right now is on the College Football Playoff and making a strong run,” Bjork said Sunday. “We have a ton to play for. We have a great team made up of talented players and great young men. Coach Day does a great job leading our program. He's our coach.”

Of course, every athletic director who has fired a head coach has once given them a vote of confidence. It remains possible - likely, even - that Ohio State considers firing Ryan Day. If the Buckeyes do move on from Day, who would they hire to replace him?

I wouldn't touch that game with a (seasonally appropriate) 39 1/2 foot pole.

Clemson's defensive weakness is the running game. SMU's offensive weakness is the running game.
Clemson's defensive strength is its pass rush / defense. SMU's offensive strength is its QB mobility / prolific passing game.
SMU's defensive weakness is the passing game, but not by much. Clemson's offensive weakness is an inconsistent passing game, but still splash-y.
SMU's defensive strength is defending the run. Clemson's offensive strength is running the ball.

It's either going to end 2-0, 56-52, or 65-0. Any or all are possibilities, and if you add in the fact that Clemson has had 74 kicks blocked this year - extra points and FG's both - you have random point spread/total killers in the kicking game.

I would not touch.

@Cheb
After this year, a blind dog with cancer would be a welcome upgrade at quarterback.

Looking forward to seeing what he's got. If we can get competent QB play, I think we can recapture some of that Harbaugh magic. Though the pessimist in me thinks Sherrone Moore's offense will continue to be paleolithic, I would be happy to be proved wrong.

He might be successful his first couple years, especially on defense. But I don't think he can recruit at a high level and it will catch up with him.

That's one thing college coaches have to do that NFL coaches don't.... recruit.
