The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Bucs sign 5 top - top three still to go.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
I also missed the part where the Vikings released Cook because of what the Falcons RBs did, but that didn't prevent you from making that correlation.

If you're even gone for 2 weeks I'll assume #3 along with everyone else
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
I missed the part where Cook was "great" last year.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Yea he only finished 6th in rushing and scored double digit TDs overall last year on a 13-4 team. Made the Pro Bowl also. What a bum year.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Maybe if he cracks the top 5, someone will trade a 7th Rounder for him. If he really pushes it, he can still catch the duo of Atlanta scrubs.
You've proved my point. Thank you.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
The Atlanta scrub duo combined would’ve finished 1st in the league in rushing. So thank you for telling us all that EVERY RB in football is a bum.
You use to be credible and made excellent points. Now people use you as a cum rag because of all of the shitty takes you have. Not sure what’s happened to you, old age, cynicism or you just don’t give a shit anymore. But if you had any shame you’d be completely embarrassed.

NFL franchises: yeah… we’re looking to trade D. Henry. Oh yeah, we’re gonna release D. Cook.

Sadly, you'd most likely be correct in that assumption. These Are The Days wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 8:49 pmIf you're even gone for 2 weeks I'll assume #3 along with everyone else

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
No one says you can't find RBs. Mattison is a great back that has shown he can fill in for Cook pretty well. They have a good transition in place, they can move on from Cook and save $9M. Just like the Packers moved on from Favre to Rodgers. We went from VJax to Evans.
Some tend to confuse this with "being able to find a RB anywhere", which is hilarious given we've yet to be able to find one. Same for many other teams.
Do they have a shorter shelf life than other positions? Sure. But while they are still good they are good. And to pretend like Allgeier and Cook are the same is simply silly.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
How many of those teams that "could never find a running back" had competent, much less good, offensive line play?
That'd be what we call an "intervening factor."

No rings, no all pros, no mvps, no mention of a playoff record... Sounds mighty Trent Green-ish to me. I'm going to say no.

Cam? But I don't recall him being injured in 2014.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
I wonder why this player only has four Pro Bowls. I'd presume because he's been consistent but not the top of his class, like Matt Ryan. Seeing that he won an award last year (though I don't know what the Bart Starr award is) tells me he's an active player. The "most fourth-quarter comebacks in a single season" stat makes me think it's Kirk Cousins, given the Vikings season last year with all those close wins they had.Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 9:06 am Yes or no. I'd put this player in the Hall of Very Good, but I am certainly no expert on these things.
