We have the option to trade up with the extra 3rd now.

PFF has Chop Robinson at 44 ADP, other simulator has him at 23.

But he seems like the guy I want at our pick. We need pass rush or explosiveness on offense. As useful as a DB or OT could be, neither will bring this team to the next tier.

JPJ or Barton
Chop

I don’t care for Trice, but we know Licht is obsessed with Huskies.

Could easily see a corner like McKinstry.

People made their case for Zyon McCollum and while I don't think he's as good as they believe at least he's there.

Edge, we have Yaya on 1 side. JTS/Nelson might make an okay Edge rusher on the other? But it's something.

We quite literally don't have a LG. Feiler & Stinnie are FAs and were both terrible. Leverett is with the Pats now. That's it. Overall the entire makeup of this Oline is pisspoor at best. There's only 1 starter who would be able to start on other lines with no problem and that's Wirfs. Everyone is is replaceable.
Agreed that LG is by far the biggest hole on the roster. You won’t see me upset if we spend a premium pick there to upgrade. But it all really depends on who’s there at 26. Powers-Johnson would be ideal but I don’t see him falling. Barton or Fautanu could work as well.

But we know Licht has a type when it comes to IOL. So if we have an Edge or Corner rated higher than them. He may wait til round 2/3 to fill that hole on the OL.

Right now I’d be down with these 3 linemen. Chop Robinson. Kool-aid or Dejean. Can make the case for any of them.

I'd love if we got JPJ. I wouldn't move him to guard either. He's a great center, let him do what he naturally does. Hainsey is quite literally the worst graded C in football.

JPJ will likely be an All-pro caliber C for years. But if Chop Robinson is there at our pick, as much as I hate continued investment on defense with minimal returns, we have to nab this crazy ass *****. If we draft a Cooper Beebee in late second, our O-line will be better than functional. But going into the regular season with Diaby as our best pass rusher from edge is a recipe for disaster.

Those numbers don't compare at all. Kupp is also much bigger than Ladd. All they see is another white WR. Lazy.

I can see this but at the same time there is this vision where Brian Thomas Jr slips to us and we have to decide.

Who do you go with in that scenario

Cooper DeJean or the Oregon center? Tough call for me.

There seems to be a lot of defensive back talent in this draft, it's probably driving Bowles crazy.

I’d prefer to sit tight. Or even trade back into the 2nd.

The (4) QBs going early is going to push players into our laps and/OR there could be a team looking to come back into the first for Penix/Nix.

I ran an auto sim and we traded up our 1st, 2nd, and 2025 5th for Quinyon Mitchell

Barton seems more like Licht’s speed. College tackle, athletic, moving inside in the NFL.

We’d need to get in front of Miami to get JPJ I think. Pricey. Rather not give up one of those 3rds to do it.

Rumors are that Carlton Davis trade was all about a move up for JPJ

There's one tweet here about that, and if you've been around a while you should know anything coming out in the media about a team's intentions in the draft should be taken with a grain of salt.

Fans say this. GMs say this. It’s always cliche. They all end up drafting whoever they think the best player is at their positions of greatest need.

Especially in early rounds.

The BPA stuff is nonsense until after the 3rd round.

But that is not how Licht does. He has said over and over that he picks a BPA in a position that they have need. That is why JTS was considered "a luxury pick" in his own words

Actually Licht repeatedly says you prefer to go into drafts free of needs to draft BPA. Sometimes things line up really nicely for you. Even better. Sometimes if guys are pretty even, yeah, you break for need.

Sometimes you just fall in love with a player. You try not to. You try to play tiers and make objective moves. But if the draft is about getting BPA and you truly think a guy is a HOF, sometimes you gotta make moves.

I really don't see the Bucs going WR. Especially over Chop. And unless I missed it JPJ didn't go in the first round at all.

Trying to limit needs going into the draft is something all decent GMs should do, but saying he doesn't pick based off needs then you clearly never heard him after a draft because he always brings up needs going into the draft

He didn't. JPJ would be my choice if the board fell this way. Nothing against Xavier Worthy, he's very talented and electric. But we can't block worth a damn. Chop, Tampa, Mims would be good selections as well over a WR.

I just can’t see Licht going C over DE with our first rounder. He’s passed on talented IOL before for D-line and seems hell bent on getting the D-line together… which I’m all for

This also seems like one of those drafts where DE talent will sneak by. Everyone’s so focused on the QB/OL/WR talent
