Drop LBS however he can.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
It's a Q. QBS.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Cam Gill, the longest tenured 49
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
The Super Bowl is arguably the biggest stage in sports but the folks that run that stadium couldn't be bothered to make sure all their lighting was up to snuff. Welcome to Qua__mm Stadium!
Don't tread on me
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Well, when most of us at home were watching on a bigger screen than the one they have up there.....
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Danny Reece, played 1976-1980. He would score the first ever touchdown in franchise history on a fumble return. Reece led the NFL in punt returns in 1979 and 1980.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Is that our 1976 pre-Creamsickles orange the Broncos made us give up because it was too close to their orange? Or is my red-green plus blue-yellow color blindness messing with me again?
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Wilkins Cesare, the longest tenured 44.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Solid name.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
O-kay...43...A few different ways to go. My first instinct was Ross Cockrell, but I wanted to go old school:
Jerry Eckwood was Ricky Bell's running mate for the successful 1979-1981 era Bucs teams. A star at Arkansas, Eckwood was drafted in the 3rd Round in 1979, and is absolutely the most famous player to be drafted in the 3rd Round in 1979 (the right people will know what I'm getting at.)
Eckwood retired after only three years, as he was already showing signs of serious brain damage from the game. He was cited as an example of the league not taking care of it's former players.
His final Bucs (and NFL) numbers - 47 Games, 608 Touches, 2801 Yards, 7 TDs.

RIP Ricky
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
The Rhino backfield between Neal and Alstott was something fun to witness.
PSA, there is now a football game on every week between now and February.
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
If I have to explain this, you're on the wrong board.

The fact that you should NEVER put your finger on the tip of the ball? Yeah, even Pop Warner kids know that. It's hard to believe the Bucs let this type of amateur hour stuff take place, but that was who we were. *sigh*
Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
Mark Alstatt should never have made the team.

Re: 2023 Countdown to Kickoff Thread
39 is kind of a forgotten number. We’ll go with the longest tenured one

I was going to do #36 but then I realized it was T-Jax and it pissed me off. I was this close to posting Fucking Herb Miller or something.

Mike Williams, T-Jax, Josh Freeman. Guys who liked drugs more than their potential as NFL players. Freaking tragic.
I don’t recall if that was a bad time for the NFL has a whole when it came to off the field issues, or just the Buccaneers. Then you have guys like Aqib Talib who couldn’t keep their nose clean and had to leave here.
