Reading through the comments on X, a lot of people believe that Evans will be signing with the Texans. Hope springs eternal. If the Bucs don't resign Evans before free agency starts, the Bucs will find themselves in a bidding war.
A twitter account from a Houston based team is attracting lots of Houston fans that want to sign a big name FA for their other Houston based team. Besides, most sports “discussion” on twitter is literally just people thirsting over players that play for other teams. Especially NBA.

I want him back. Hope he's back. But, I'm not naive enough to think he's going to be worth the contract he's likely to get.

He's definitely an "it's our year" type of free agent.

I'm sure Mike Evans would love to go home to Houston. But does Houston need him? Nico Collins and Tank Dell can be the best 1-2 combo in the league, arguably better than Evans-Godwin.

So he would be paid LESS than Godwin? That would seem to be an insult to him if we offered less than Godwin

Texans is fine. But the Chiefs? My god, that would literally be the worst reality within the multiverse. Nothing tops it.

Now that I can agree with. He's familiar with Monken and the Ravens don't really have receiving threats outside of Flowers and Andrews.

Lamar Jackson & Mike Evans is a scary proposition.

As we saw in the playoffs, Flowers doesn't look like a #1 WR, but maybe someday.

Chiefs offense reminds me of the Eagles 2000s offense. Same offense, poor receivers. The only two differences are Mahomes and Kelce. Mahomes can win with poor receivers unlike McNabb.

Oh, same coach

What? He had 9 catches for 156 yards and a TD. He almost had 2, but fumbled at the 1. He did this as a rookie.

If that's not number 1 WR territory, I don't know what is. He was responsible for 46% of the Ravens offense.

You said "As we saw in the playoffs, Flowers doesn't look like a #1 receiver"....

1. I posted the entire playoffs statline, my bad...I'd rather own that I read the wrong thing than edit it.
2. He had 115 yards against the best secondary in the NFL and 1, almost 2 TDs.

You can say he's a rookie or whatever, but he absolutely played like a #1 against the Chiefs and he did that as a rookie.

I like it, but Tyreek Hill shouldn't be in there. He's only played 8 seasons and is only 1500 yards behind. As long as he stays healthy, he'll pass Evans in 2 seasons.

Why shouldn't Hill be on there? Does he not have the most receiving yards over the last 10 years?

10 years? No. Third.

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/the-mo ... since-2013

If you mean the last 7 years, yes. Just barely beating out Devante Adams in yards per game over that time

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/the-mo ... since-2016

But I will say this, if Mike had Mahommes and Tua as his only QBs, his stats would have been a lot better than they were

Mike Evans has a 75.8 YPG in his career with people like Glennon throwing him the rock

I'm confused. Hill is still in the top 10 on that statmuse link. I didn't mean most, I see. Cannon said Hill didn't deserve to be in the top 10, but I meant regardless of how many years he's played he still is in the top top 10.

Friendly reminder that in 2016 & 2017 Tyreek Hill had Alex Smith throwing him the ball. Mike Glennon & Mike Evans played a grand total of 5 games together.

Didn’t the Chiefs go to the AFC Championship game with Smith and Hill? Was it the divisional round?

I just don't see how you can be 30, coming off your top 3 career year, and not at least check out the tampering period.

This is it. The big one. You got to at least see what your entire football life is priced at.

If Licht somehow manages to sign him over the weekend even I'd be shocked.

Incredible the narratives we weave isn't it? How many decades did we try to pretend Brady was a "system" guy?

In California it's all about the coaching tree and system. Everyone is trying to get a piece of it.

Meanwhile in KC its all about Mahomes.
