Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
Just wonderin, how many millions did Baker shave off his contract in one week.
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
I really hate doing an offensive line sim - they are being shown the worst of what could happen in their careers and you'd think the younguns would get tired of having their nose rubbed in the poop.

Comic relief at its finest.
Then this came through the grapevine…..
Panthers owner David Tepper throws drink at Jaguars fans as his team gets embarrassed.

Bowles has the nerve to say, "Anyone could've beat us today"
Dude, do us all a favor and quit. Just quit and save the Glazer family the buyout for firing your sorry ass!!!

Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
One thing I've noticed about the Arians and Bowles regimes is the lack of discipline and focus. Even during the Brady days there were plenty of weeks where our team didn't show up to play.
It would be nice to have a head coach that didn't stand for it. But please no Greg Schianos this time

Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
It’s honestly strange how the Saints just consistently destroy us at RayJay on a near year to year basis.
2023- L 23-13
2022- W 17-16
2021- L 9-0
2020- L 38-3
2019- L 34-17
2018- L 28-14
The only win over the stretch was a Brady miracle comeback down 16-3 with 3 minutes left. If it weren’t for that comeback it’s 6 straight losses at home by double digits. Even with the comeback, that 1-5 stretch is brutal. Especially since we seemingly play better at the Superdome. Won the last two there by double digits, won a playoff game there and even the regular season losses there were more competitive.

I see it more as how we get exploited, their TE's carved us up with 11 for 15 for 133 yards and two TD's. I think that gave them some good running because of that - plus we did not get no pressure.
Whatever kind of run offense we are trying the defenses seem to instantly be able to read it before the snap.
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
Bucs go up tempo with no runs, eleven hundred yards and touchdown. Bucs try traditional offense, 3 and out.
Funny, that.

The Saints had been struggling against the run so I understand the game plan. However, once you get behind ON THE FIRST FUCKING DRIVE again and again then you need to adjust at some point once it isn’t working down 14-17 points.

The blitzing and then playing off coverage behind it is driving me crazy. I just don’t understand that.

Because the front three, four, or five isnt working - as in not good enough.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 10:41 am The blitzing and then playing off coverage behind it is driving me crazy. I just don’t understand that.

Also LVD is getting torched in coverage. Dean, Davis, and David are all giving up a QB rating of over 100. It might be that LVD is trying to cover the weakness at the LOS.

Add Ryan Neal and hello here we are.

Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
If the Bucs resign Baker, the Bucs can expect more of the same. Baker looking good in some games, Baker looking Bad in just as many games. Bucs are a 500 ball club with Baker as their QB.
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
The "problem" this game wasn't Baker. NO ONE was having a good game... Not Baker, Not LVD, Not AWJ. No running game. And I swear to god Voo-Doo was involved. Bad shit happened everytime we started going.
The lack of establishing the run beyond 1 yard and a cloud of dust really killed the passing game, as well. That and penalties... When it's perpetually 3rd and 14 every series, there ain't a lot of success with that.
There ought to be a time limit on throwing a flag. We got hosed, Detroit got hosed.

Saints practiced in pads ion Wednesday to be a bully against us. They knew that alone would make them more physical than we are. I wish Bowles would do that
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
People should have known this wasn't going to be our day simply based off the shitty day Camarda had. He's been the 1 sure thing for this team the past 2 years and he looked like he didn't deserve to be on the practice squad, let along on an NFL active roster.
Wasn't our day and New Orleans executed very well.

Most hated man in America.
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
The Bucs play well in the final 5 minutes. Why didn't they play like that in the 1st-3rd quarter? I believe it was shitty play calling
Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
And it was a typical bad hit, from bounty-gate days. The guy lowered his shoulder and drove it into Baker like he was trying to separate it. Well after the ball was thrown.
Push the damned button already!

Outcoached again by Dennis Allen.

I agree. "Again" is unnecessary. But he absolutely was out coached because he had the better roster and a home field advantage. Usually Tampa-NO games played in Tampa ends up becoming a Saints home game because of how well Saints fans travel, but that wasn't really the case this weekend.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 9:14 amAgain? Bowles is 3-1 as a head coach against the Saints. Just saying.

Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
For sure. Huge part of being a great coach is having your team ready to go in a big game. It looked like they didn't give a crap from the opening kick. Just going through the motions. I keep wondering why I care so much when it seems like they don't? I get Bowles isn't a rah rah guy, but someone needs to be.Jonny wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 9:19 amI agree. "Again" is unnecessary. Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
All scoring plays are reviewed by the booth. That is what happened in this game. The Booth saw that Godwin had stepped out of bounds. A Saints player immediately pointed that Godwin had stepped out of bounds. The worse part of the play was a TE was running wide open to Bakers right. Baker didn't see him because baker has tunnel vision.Moozician wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 6:41 pm The "problem" this game wasn't Baker. NO ONE was having a good game... Not Baker, Not LVD, Not AWJ. Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
The Saints went into a prevent defense and stopped blitzing during the final 10 minutes of the ball game. That is why most of Bakers stats came in garbage time.

Re: Rapid Reactions: Bucs lose to the Saints 23-13
Baker was a big part of the problem in the Saints game. He was constantly confused by the Saints blitz and coverage packages. Baker didn't recognize pre-snap what the Saints defense was. Thus the first INT. The second INT was a badly underthrown ball. Most of Bakers stats were in the last 10 minutes of the game (garbage time) when the Saints quit blitzing and went into a prevent defense.Moozician wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 6:41 pm The "problem" this game wasn't Baker.
