Sign him before FA.

Again, it should raise a red flag that this team has multiple top level players hitting free agency while most teams lock their guys up well before this becomes an issue.

It is rather odd to me that we didn't try to resign AWJ for a fair deal.

He's been the best guy in the secondary since what, his sophomore season? Great teammate and culture guy, just 25 years old, maybe the best player on his side of the ball. Letting him even taste free agency is like letting Wirfs do the same next season, and at a certain point I have to wonder what the fuck our long-term roster building and cap management strategies are. Because if we don't have a plan in place for our best young players, the literal nucleus of our team and its immediate future, then I would argue that we have no plans at all.

Was Devin White quiet to his teammates all last year, he was probably talking to the players all year long.

Would you have signed an extension in Tampa after the 2022 season?

I'm petty sure we're trying to resign everyone we want. These things are about timing.

No. He just did. After the game he said it could be his last and most assumed it would be, but today it's official.

It was obvious he was retiring before our playoff game even ended. Dude wasn’t tearing up because he lost to the Bucs in the playoffs. He didn’t really want to announce it until later and take attention away from the playoffs most likely.

There is. It's called the franchise tag. Tag him, trade him. Licht dropped the ball here. Evans should've either been extended or traded 1-2 years ago. Now we stand to get nothing. Oh, no my bad, we stand to get a 5th round comp pick next offseason.
This idea that your greats must be retired or bartered is gross.
Bootz is looking at it from a strictly business viewpoint and from that angle, he ain't wrong. The difference between Adams and Hills situation was that I think they were at the end of their rookie deals and the fanbases hadn't become so attached to them.

Mike Evans has been here long enough for the fanbases to become emotionally attached.

And yes, this should have been done before the 2023 season.

There is risk in extending early. There’s also risk in extending later. It takes two to tango. But everyone has a price at a given time. As always, I’m all about being too early in pro sports than being too late. Whether it’s trading a guy, or extending a guy.

I’m sure Jason didn’t plan on Winfield, Mayfield, and Evans all having career -or close to career- seasons heading to free agency. It just worked out that way. And as a result, going to have to pay a premium across-the-board.

I remember the double posts when the goal posts were on the goal line and not 10 yards deep. The goal posts had 2 posts going into the ground. WR's use to use the goal posts to rub off DB's. Thus the post route. Not much padding on those goal posts either. QB's use to be tackled back then too. YA Tittle was missing a bunch of teeth.

Wilson to Atlanta?

He can run a Zac Robinson offense easy, day 1. Raheem corny like Russ.

Wilson with that OL, Bijan, Pitts, London.... Rome? That can do something.

73 and still sharp as a tack. I remember on Nov 22, 1963 watching the flag at Junior High School lower the flag to half mast around 1:30 EST. Pete Rosell was hammered in the press for not cancelling the NFL schedule that weekend.
