Yup. DW is looking at a one year prove it deal elsewhere now. I’d love to come full circle in rectifying that mistake by signing Josh Allen in free agency.
He is a hell of an athlete but he needs to be a hell of a LB. Play within the defense and play his assignment.
He needs a defense that allows him to be himself, this ain't it

You're saying we should trade Trask. I'm saying he's not even worth a pick. You're not understanding.
Not worth a pick but he's worth us starting him on the field. I love it.
When we were 3-5 and riding a four game losing streak? Yes. When we were 4-7 losing 6 of 7? Yes. Baker turned it around and had a nice year. Things chance broseph.
The Dolphins and Vic Fangio have mutually agreed to part ways, sources tell me and
@JFowlerESPN
. Fangio now will be the top target for the Philadelphia Eagles to hire as their defensive coordinator, and a deal is expected. Miami is allowing Fangio to leave to be closer to his family in Pennsylvania.
Fangio and the Eagles had an interest in working together in 2023, but the timing didn’t work. This time it will.

I like Mike McDaniel but he has to nail down a DC. Musical chairs is a team killer.
Yeah, but being the highest scoring team in the NFL and getting bounced in the first round after only scoring 7 isn't on the DC
True, but that was the story if that one game. Which is now history.
Unless you have other reasons besides "it happen to them in round 1 last year", I don't really think that's where they are in danger. Instability on the other hand is toxic.
IIRC McKay was stripped of football matters over 10 years ago. I think he's mainly been involved in the business aspects of the franchise for a long time now, which is why he's never been in danger of losing his job.

Everything I’ve seen is saying he was involved in football operations before this decision.

Bootz is right. McKay moved to the admin side many years ago. Did he move back? I don't know if he did but I have not read that. He's essentially Blank's right hand man but without decision making on the football side. This one of the reasons they didn't hire BB. Too much reorganization to be done particularly for a guy who'd be there for 3 years or something such as that.
The 2024 NFL Combine, which runs from Feb. 29 through March 3, will be the 37th straight year the event has been held in Indianapolis. More than 300 prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft will attend the event, conducting in workouts, athletic testing, interviews and medical evaluations.

Some owners set up their corporate structure so they are heavily involved in the day to day operations. Jerry Jones is one of them. Other owners set up the corporate structure so they don't need to be involved with the day to day operations.(How often are the Glazers in town or even at games. The latter group structures the organization to fit the owners involvement in the day to day operations. Atlanta Falcons owner has set up his organization so while he has overall control of the team, he leaves the details to his staff. BB wanted Blank to do away with that organization and have total control of everything. Blank said no. Blank wanted Fontenot to remain as the GM and McKay remain as the business GM. BB wanted to do away with Fontenot completely and BB has a personal dislike for McKay and thus wanted him out.

I wonder where this stems from and how deep it is, if it's at all true.

I think it has something to do with McKay being involved with the rules committee and Belichick being a vocal critic of them.
