JTS as a rotational guys is such as better player than JTS as a starter taking a majority of the snaps.
Back to back weeks, JTS has an individual play responsible for a stop in a crucial situation.

JTS is in the process of "from kid to man". Get your complete game together were gonna need ya son.

Barrett - 44 snaps
Diaby - 30
Nelson - 25
JTS - 21
Gill - 7

Imagine not having that experience because some nerd in a suit decided we wouldn't be good enough to compete this year. I hope that shuts up the "we should tank" crowd forever.

KC was the only team with a turnover that advanced. We didnt get one or give one - wasnt needed.

I know this isn't the right thread for this, but.....

Why are Safeties not considered turnovers? They are plays that quite literally result in the ball being given to the other team!??!

That is a great question. It’s a turnover that also results in points.

Mayfield played a GREAT game and the numbers don't even do him justice, even though they look great. Props to him for that.

I wasn't on the board all that much during the off-season (that's baseball time), were people saying "we should tank" or were they saying "we should start Trask"?

Good, good.

This week we want to be the villain, keep the head-inflaters pointed at Goff, not Mayfield.

I'd say it was a bit of both. Saying it without saying it. Unequivocal certainty that we were going to stink and should not attempt to "win" the NFC South because we were destined to just get trounced again in the Wild Card round. There was a lot of trade Mike Evans. Trade Devin White. Trade anyone of value. Don't spend any money bringing in a veteran QB to compete with Trask or depth at other positions. Etc.

The snap counts for this game showed that our coaching staff is learning and adapting.

Basically went with a single safety look for most of the night, as they had no real threat other than Devonta Smith with AJ Brown being out. Britt & Gaines played a lot to help with the run, even though they ran a lot less than expected. Ryan Neal played no snaps on defense.

I don't think saying "we should start Trask" is anything close to saying "we should tank", especially when Mayfield was the alternative. He was a second round pick who was drafted to become the eventual starter. To say they are similar is trying to push a false narrative.

Devin White is overrated. If someone wanted to pay a lot for him, I'd have traded him even if we had a good/known quantity at QB.

They didn't spend any money to bring in a veteran QB to compete with Trask. They gave a few dollars to Mayfield to start. At the time, I thought that was them tanking while pretending they weren't. At that point, yeah, I'd have suggested to trade Evans too, because it looked like they were trying to tank. So yeah, why not trade him? If they really believed in Mayfield and thought they could really win, why not give Evans the money he deserved to lock him in? They could've made the money work. Everyone does.

Great win. The Eagles looked fairly disinterested. Great performance by the team to never let them back into the game.

Saw that, maybe more to come than just Kelce and it was known ahead of time. Not to diminish we kept them from clicking.
