Championship Sunday Discussion

Post by Bootz »

Bucs are out but both Championship games should be excellent. 2 matchups that we did not see during the regular season. The Super Bowl is going to be really good this year.

Likewise. Baltimore was my preseason Superbowl winner pick and I don't see that changing.

I'd like to see the Lions pull off the upset. They've been through so much being the first franchise to ever go 0-16 and set the bar for historically awful.
Beating San Fran will take them off the list of the never been's

Unfortunately, the Lions Cinderella run ends. :(

edit: I know the 49ers didn't play well against the Packers. I think the rain was the factor.

I know they beat us but it's just really hard to root against the Lions in all this.

Since the league started with Thursday games, has there ever been an instance where Game 1 and the Super Bowl were the exact same game? Would be interesting if it ends up Lions vs. Chiefs.

Rooting or a Lions vs. Ravens Super Bowl. But I think it's going to be 49ers vs. Chiefs.

The Packers and the Bills have to both be kicking themselves. They had those games won and blew it in the last half of the 4th quarter.

Chiefs take care of BAL in a defensive slugfest
49ers roll DET by at least 14

Rooting for: Lions and Ravens, leading to Lions winning it all.
Betting on: 49ers and Ravens, leading to 49ers winning it all.
Hoping for: Anyone but KC. If they get in, I might not even watch the Taylor Swift Bowl. Because that's all it will be.

The Chiefs are the new Patriots. Football fans love the idea or a dynasty more than they do the reality of it.

I have no problem with the Chiefs in general, or as a dynasty. I like Mahomes, I like Reid, etc.

I just don't want to spend 65% of Super Bowl broadcast looking at this:

I think it is craze that NFL fans are saying, I'm tired of seeing Taylor...
How many times did they cut to Jason Kelce last night? Anybody sick of him?
So, you see T. Swift for MAYBE, literally 30 seconds of a 3.5 hour broadcast and that' what chaps your ass?

I feel like 49ers are being underestimated because of how average Purdy looked against the Packers.

They ultimately managed to win the game with their struggling, low in confidence QB finishing out the game strong. I can see them going back to being the team that will run roughshod over teams that aren't executing perfectly.

They didn't win that game as much as Green Bay lost it. Green Bay drove deep into San Francisco territory nine times and managed to come away with only two touchdowns. That says it all.

Objectively??

The Ravens beat the Lions 38-6 earlier this season. What makes you think this is the "best" matchup?

Exhibit A: Fuck the Chiefs
Exhibit B: Lions are America's team and the best storyline by a mile.
Exhibit C: Lamar Jackson is the best QB in the league on the best team in the league.
Exhibit D: Fuck the Chiefs. No seriously, Travis "Rachel Dolezal" Kelce and that narrow hipped, no ass having, mid as fuck white bitch can go fuck off.

I have never seen any NFL fans complain about seeing Gisele Bundchen on TV a lot. I don't understand why there is such a big difference with Taylor Swift.

Snake, BucsnBills, and Kress are the only three here who complain about Taylor Swift. Who gives a shit?

Considering Dallas has that trademarked, I am sure NY Post and ESPN are getting cease and desist orders. Also, Detroit fucked over Megatron and Barry Sanders, so fuck the team too. I never lied Goff, never will. Goff has the personality of Jay Cutler. I hope the 49ers curb stomp them. Detroit won't win anyways. The Super Bowl logo has spoken. 49ers vs Ravens

Lions are a Cinderella story, but so is Brock Purdy. I'll be happy with the outcome of that game either way as long as they give me a good game. But I'm rooting for the 9ers and Mr.Irrelevant.

News is looking good for Baltimore going in. Mark Andrews is coming back and Marlon Humphreys apparently going to play.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Pacheco being out would be huge for Chiefs. They're already without McKinnon. Same with Thuney out. Those are two guys I feel they need. Edwards-Helaire is not Pacheco. Far from it.

Add in the weather factor. Running game is going to be big. Sounds like a lot of rain in Baltimore on Sunday.

No Joe Thuney against the best pass rush in football. Sounds like disaster. I didn't even know Pacheco was in question to miss this game.

Mahomes & Kelce are gonna have to win this one for the Chiefs, if they are to win. Baltimore is a juggernaut now and will be hard to beat in those conditions.
