2024 UDFA additions
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Xavier Delgado looks like a beast for the run game.
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Why?
@kaimaru because he was willing to come here to be a camp quarterback.

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
WR Jarvis Landry to participate in Jaguars' rookie minicamp!
I guess he is going to hang with the three new Tigers - tell me what the Jags are paying for that.
16 WR's preparing for camp..

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
What is IMG Academy and is it relevant at all?
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
It's a grade school boarding school down here in Bradenton FL. They specialize in training and developing students in a number of sports. They also train athletes who don't necessarily go to the school.
Yes it's very relevant.

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Wasn't this year's international players for the NFL trained there? They must have top facilities

Falcons snaged an undrafted OT/G from Northern Illinois that was supposed to sign/tryouts with us.

That is OK... we can sign him if they cut him and get information on what Raheem is doing.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 5:53 am Falcons snaged an undrafted OT/G from Northern Illinois that was supposed to sign/tryouts with us.

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Anyone to get excited about? 53 worthy?
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Drive by the East and North gates daily…
Every now and then one of those ginormous WR types
going for a jog to escape the IMG authorities for a few hours.
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
As clever as you might think you're being here, you can only be talking about 1 player. Jordan Mailata. He did train at IMG but that workout you're referring to actually happened at One Buc Place and yes, Licht was in attendance. I know this because a friend of mine was raving about that "combine" they were having there and how he planned to workout at it. Mailata was one of several international players who participated.

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Licht was smarter though he wanted Cichy.
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
I trained there when it was Nick Bollettieri in the mid-90’s before IMG took over. Was there during the purchase. Great sports training facility for multiple sports now like Bootz said. That whole area has completely transformed.

Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Licht had the attitude that after the third round it's slim that you are going to stick to this roster.
Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Intrigued by the 6'7 WR we signed. I went to watch his brief highlights and it looked like I was watching a Johnny Wilson video who went in the 6th. Obviously way less pedigree.
Also intrigued by the 4.47 undersized lb Deloach.
These are the types that we should be adding to try make the team. Super outlier types from a size or athleticism stand point to fill a very specific limited role.

That is one way to look at a person who likes to be accurate. I hope that when you have contractors work on your house you allow them the same leeway.CannonFire wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 10:34 amI think you're splitting hairs here... it's still the government.

I don't think mdb was trying to be precise, neither was I. The dude's going to lose almost 40% to the government, doesn't matter how it's split? To him, and anyone who would ever work on my house probably doesn't give a crap at all either.13F11B wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 11:20 amThat is one way to look at a person who likes to be accurate. Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Yep. That 40% sucks regardless of the entity that's digging into my pockets. On the bright side, he won't have to figure out how to pay for classes to finish his psychology degree program.CannonFire wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 11:53 amI don't think mdb was trying to be precise, neither was I. Re: 2024 UDFA additions
Look harder.
What seems like a new trend, teams are going for non-drafted players as more than just camp fodder.
49ers went big for undrafted defensive tackle Evan Anderson: $280,000 total guaranteed money, $30,000 to sign and $250,000 of his base salary guaranteed. A 320 LB NT out of FAU who won't get many snaps but fills a role that they don't anymore have after D.J. Jones got signed by Denver.
The Washington Commanders have signed Colorado State cornerback Chigozie Anusiem to a deal worth $300,000 in base salary with a $50,000 bonus
The Washington Commanders have signed Notre Dame QB Hartman received a $20,000 signing bonus as well as a base salary guarantee of $225,000 for 2024.
The Seattle Seahawks are signing Boise State running back George Holani. Holani is receiving a $15,000 signing bonus, and $100,000 guaranteed in base salary
The Arizona Cardinals are signing Colorado wide receiver Xavier Weaver to a deal that will include $225,000 guaranteed
The Denver Broncos are signing Memphis defensive lineman Jaylon Allen to a deal with a $10,000 signing bonus, as well as $110,000 of his base salary guaranteed
The Carolina Panthers are signing Holy Cross wide receiver Jalen Coker to a deal includes a $25,000 signing bonus and $225,000 in guaranteed salary
The Seattle Seahawks are signing South Dakotan State offensive tackle Garret Greenfield for a $20,000 signing bonus and $195,000 in guaranteed salary
The Detroit Lions are signing Illinois wide receiver Isaiah Williams to a deal that includes a $15,000 signing bonus and $225,000 in guaranteed salary.
The list goes on and on....
