Cut Hurts, bench Jackson, and start Fields.

Cut Fields
Bench Lamar
Start Hurts
Bench Lamar
Start Hurts
Re: Start, Bench, Cut
If I know absolutely nothing about the roster and I need someone guaranteed to make shit happen, I gotta go Lamar.
I think this gets more interesting if you swap out Justin Fields for a healthy Kyler Murray.
For fantasy football purposes? I have no idea.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Start - Hurts, obviously
Bench - Fields, rookie contract no biggie
Cut - Lamar, save the $ you’d lose benching him

Start- Lamar
Bench- Fields
Cut- Hurts
Lamar is the only choice here. He's put his team on his back and won. A lot. And an MVP. His supporting cast is a bunch of overachievers and a top 5 TE. That's it.
Justin Fields has way more talent than he's given credit for. He's bigger than both Hurts & Jackson and probably runs faster and more explosive than both of them. He's an underrated passer and improved in 2022 with arguably the worst set of skills players in football. His ceiling is so high.
And I admire Jalen Hurts for what he's been able to accomplish in his career. He's worked extremely hard and has developed into a great young QB.
That said, when looking simply at talent and ceiling, he falls far behind most of his peers. He's not going to out talent anyone. He may out work them, no doubt about that. But if I'm starting from scratch I take guys with the most talent.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Fields is the obvious cut unless we're taking contracts into account, then you obviously can't keep the top two best guys.
Right now it comes between Lamar and Hurts. The latter is the hot flavor right now, but given not know anything else you have to I think I got to agree with Snake and go Lamar.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
A couple of years ago I woulda said Lamar. Now I’m not so sure. Been injury prone, 1-3 in playoffs, not sure if his best years are already behind him. This year will tell. Meanwhile Hurts killed it in playoffs.
That said I’ll still start him with Hurts as the backup plan. Cut Fields.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
The only correct answer is to cut Fields.
I personally like Hurts more than Lamar, but it’s a pretty safe bet that Lamar could have done everything Hurts did in that Philly offense this year and probably more.
Either way they’re both better than Fields and on the roster ready to go regardless of who starts.

Start Hurts
Bench Jackson
Cut Fields
Bench Jackson
Cut Fields
Re: Start, Bench, Cut
If I judge them strictly by the darkness of their visor shading, I start Jackson, Bench Hurts, and cut Fields.
Oddly, that's the same order I would put them if I judged them on merit. Maybe there's something to this.

If we aren’t taking contracts into account then this is kind of silly.
Fields hasnt shown anything that puts him in the same league as the other two. It becomes who do you start/bench - lamar or hurts

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
I don’t know about “hasn’t shown anything.” He is a heck of a runner, and he had a solid year as a passer considering they have no WRs and a terrible OL. I think if you switch him and Hurts, Fields puts up similar numbers and still takes them to the SB. It’s just that Hurts has AJ Brown, Devanta Smith and the best OL in the NFL.
Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Justin Fields was basically the only weapon on that Bears offense. Put him in Philly or Baltimore even and he's in discussion with the top QBs in football. I feel the same about Mac Jones as well. He ended up in a shitty situation for the QB.Navybuc wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 5:21 pmI don’t know about “hasn’t shown anything.” He is a heck of a runner, and he had a solid year as a passer considering they have no WRs and a terrible OL. @Bootz - PFF has you dialed in as cheap labor

Bench - Geno Smith
Cut - Daniel Jones

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
You start Hurts, the only QB in this group who has consistently proven he can win from the pocket, and who has had his team a play away from a ring.
You bench Jackson, though if you're smart you find ways to get him on the field anyway.
You cut Fields.
That simple.
Next one: You start Kirk, You bench Daniel Jones, and you cut Geno Smith. Lotta people stopped paying attention to his miracle comeback season around halfway through. He fell apart later.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Jalen Hurts must be lighter skin than Fields (thanks Pete). Because there’s no other logic where you place Fields over him as of TODAY.
Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Geno Smith First Ten Games: 18 TDs, 4 INTs, 5 QBR over 65
Geno Smith Final Eight Games: 15 TDs, 8 INTs, 1 QBR over 65
His other stats also took similar hits - completion %, YPA, etc.

Re: Start, Bench, Cut
Not quite start, bench, cut. But here it is nonetheless. Kind of ridiculous this is a question honestly.
