OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Crazy he got hurt a couple days after signing OBJ.
Woods was great in that system, OBJ is talented but you can't substitute the knowledge Woods had for that offense or even the chemistry with Stafford.
If I'm the 49ers I'm bracketing Cupp and making Stafford throw elsewhere

The Rams are in the same yacht we're in. 1 weapon lost won't break them. Balanced offenses can overcome. McVay will run the ball with Henderson, who's currently 7th in rushing yardage and averages 4.6 a carry. Wanna double Cupp? Stafford will look to Higgby or Jefferson or OBJ now.
Woods is a great player who brought a lot to that team. But this doesn't hurt them as much as people think.

I still think that's the best gameplan considering Cupp is on pace for close to a 2k yd season.King Bootz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:03 pm The Rams are in the same yacht we're in. 1 weapon lost won't break them. Make OBJ prove he can pop off like Woods would.
But I agree they stiff plenty of ways to hurt you just like the Bucs.

I'm one who doesn't believe the Rams view OBJ as some savior. He was basically brought in as a replacement for Djax, not Woods. Much like AB wasn't brought in to push Godwin.Dread wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:49 pmI still think that's the best gameplan considering Cupp is on pace for close to a 2k yd season.King Bootz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:03 pm The Rams are in the same yacht we're in. 1 weapon lost won't break them. OBJ moves up the depth chart but I still think he'll be behind Jefferson, Higgby, and their run game on the food chain.
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Chris Godwin is the most targeted receiver for the Bucs, who have a top passing and scoring offense.
Robert Woods has the amount of targets as Godwin.
Jefferson and Higbee will get more, but there will still be a void in that offense for OBJ to take advantage of.

Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
The Rams losing Woods is a lucky break for us. Now we just have to hope that OBJ is washed and a locker room cancer like many on this board advocated when the idea that the Bucs should pursue him came up.
If so, their offense became worse and objectively easier to stop which given that play and health of the Bucs this year, we need all the help we can get.

1st play of the game? Pass and catch to OBJ.

Fun for whom? And I'd also point out he played his entire career for the Detroit Lions which certainly should account for part of his inefficiencies.
Re: OBJ: Newest L.A. Ram
Except Woods was a lot more valuable to that team than OBJ and we struggle mightily to win without AB.King Bootz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:03 pm The Rams are in the same yacht we're in. 1 weapon lost won't break them. So losing 1 weapon has broken us and didn't look too good on them the first game either.
