I am completing my estate planning and want to ensure that this board does not fall prey to the same fate as Buczone.com when the owner ghosted the board with no one to take over.

If you are interested in being left the board in my estate planning you will need to be at least proficient in PHPbb and then I will need the following from you via PM

Your email address so I can send you an NDA - you will need to fill it out and snail mail it back with a notarized signature.
It will also need to include:
Your actual name
Address
Phone number
Social security number

There is zero chance you will be doxxed. I was in the service with one of the highest security clearances there is. That is the only assurance I can give you to take my word that your identity will be safe with me and my attorney.

Please post in this thread that you are contacting me, as I am rarely on the board and mostly attend to the back end.

I know who you are. The NDA is for the protection of all parties going forward. And the SS# and notarized signature is required as part of the estate planning. If it is a too heavy of a lift for you, I get it.

And yes, I take all of your prior hard work, energy investment and time investment and all of my current hard work and the future of this board exceedingly seriously.

From my understanding, this community has been through quite a bit and deserves nothing less.

I have no problem with ownership. Even if I have to delegate the management. I know I have a reputation for being a little crazy, but like most of you, I’ve been here since the original board. When I was 15 years old. It’s been 20 years for me. I’d like another 20+ more.

I think since Rocker put all this together in the first place, if he is willing to take it over via Admin 1’s estate planning, then that is a great idea should anything happen to Admin1. He already knows the back end and the issues with the board so that makes the most sense to me.

Course he could have been a lot more appreciative of admin1 stepping in to assist when the board was at risk of being shut down (when he and Mooze made the decision to step away) instead of dogging them, but <shrug> that is just Rocker. For the most part the good outweighs the dickness.

This was my take. I cannot fathom handing over SSN for a message board. Maybe I’m just far less trusting than most people. I agree that you could be great as the Estate guy just in case though.

But if we're being honest here, I probably make the most sense.

Am I rough around the edges? Absolutely. I'm also the guy that built this thing from the bottom up, navigated some extremely troubled waters, and endured some pretty heinous shit to make sure this site and community stayed up and running.

This is the last I'll speak on this publicly. Yall have survived with and without my hand on the wheel.

For the rest of you- when an asset is left to someone and they cannot be found by their address, then the SS# is how they find them. I hope to be around for a while so this issue could be 20 years from now.
