That's probably a good move.
Definitely especially now that ND will be taking you down in next years rematch ;)

But I digress congrats on the victory this year.
If CJ Carr is as good as advertised, ND will actually be a lot better this year. Of course, better doesn’t always guarantee you the same success. But Athlon just ranked them the No. 1 OL in football and it’s no secret they have arguably the best RB class in football.

Worried about the defense losing Golden. Hard to replace.

Speaking of ND, Marcus Freeman can recruit. Move over SEC.

All true. I'm honestly not expecting to get back (though it would be great) this might be the best chance to get back before the wheels start falling off losing more starters but like you said Freeman has done a heck of a job recruiting.

Hopefully we stay relevant enough beyond next year so Carr doesn't transfer

Hey sorry for getting back late. So I attempted to set up a league on Fantrax but got a little confused on some of the settings. I think I need a little more time on the site to learn how it works so I'm just going non commissioner this year.

However. If you are up for it there is a league I found set up for 24. We need 9 more. It's a$25 buy in, I think the commissioner is waiting for it to fill before he charges.

I know you were looking for free but if you change your mind the offer is here and anyone else who wants to join.

For the Gators fans

TURN ON THE LIGHTS!!!

The #Gators will not play a single game this year at noon, other than possibly Miami (ACC kick times have yet to be determined).

All other eleven games will kick at 3:30pm or later

So, let’s predict the 2025 season. Will Ohio State repeat as the champions? Will Michigan make it to the playoffs? And who will be the surprise team?

Let’s hear your thoughts!

It’s easy to see why people are high on the buckeyes. On the other hand, they had 14 players drafted. This doesn’t include the three undrafted free agents.

Unless Julian Sayin is in that Stroud echelon, I don’t see a repeat path.

I’ll bite. Ohio State will have 2-3 losses Michigan will make the playoffs. The Gators will return as national championship contenders, but will they actually make it?

Georgia Tech, yes, the Yellow Jackets will make a deep playoff run.

Back in 2005 (yeah, I'm old, what of it??? ), I joined one of those and that's the website we used. I actually found a spreadsheet of our draft board from 2010 and my cheat sheet for 2012.

This is the team I drafted in 2010
Dayne Crist QB Notre Dame
Case Keenum QB Houston
Jordan Todman RB Connecticut
Frank Goodin RB LA-Monroe
Seth Smith RB New Mexico State
Tauren Poole RB Tennessee
Aaron Winchester RB Western Michigan
Ray Graham RB Pittsburgh
Mohamed Sanu WR Rutgers
Jerrel Jernigan WR Troy State
Rodney Bradley WR Hawaii
Jereme Brooks WR Utah
Jamel Hamler WR Fresno State
LaVon Brazille WR Ohio
Chris Owusu WR Stanford
Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
Uzoma Nwachukwu WR Texas A&M

This is the team I drafted (based on my cheat sheet), in 2012 (not complete draft).
J Tuel QB WAZZ
L Jones QB OKLA
B Oliver RB BUFF
Z Stacy RB VAND
D Fluellen RB TOLE
D Whaley RB OKLA
M Brown RB TEMP
K Allen WR CAL
T Williams WR BAY
J Hardy WR ECAR
D Spencer WR HOU
C Gragg TE ARK

Depending on the rules, you may find it anti-climactic. But, it's also about how involved you are in college football. I personally invested no real time into it. I just looked for cheatsheets and drafted, hoping to get insight for my keeper league I was in... alas, it was not helpful. You can tell by the very few guys who actually did anything in the NFL.

Okay, random question to be posed to people I shall not name, and that has nothing to do about anything in the past. Why can't people hold cameras straight? Like, for an absolutely off-the-cuff example, this guy?

Oh, oh, no.. here them pesky somesabiatches come again. (truth be told, I do not trust Klubnik much farther than I can throw him, but whatever. He s taletented as all hell, and can make throws that no human should make, but then panics and makes mistakes.
Do the Clemson Tigers have Nation's Best Offense?
The Clemson Tigers are loaded on both sides of the ball, and at least one national outlet thinks their offense is the best in the nation.

“Clemson’s passing attack projects as the nation’s best in 2025. The Tigers feature PFF’s top quarterback in Cade Klubnik and PFF's third-ranked receiving corps. No other school placed in the top five of both lists,” Chadwick wrote on PFF.

“Clemson also has a top-10 offensive line, with five of the six offensive linemen who played 500 snaps last year set to return for 2025. The only real question mark for the offense is at tailback, with true freshman Gideon Davidson projected to start. But even he was the No. 4 running back recruit in the 2025 high school class.”

As Chadwick previously stated, Klubnik is viewed as the top quarterback in college football, and one of the top prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft. Last season, Klubnik threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns (third-most in FBS), while throwing just six interceptions.

After entering the program as a five-star recruit, Klubnik burst onto the scene after filling in for D.J. Uigalelei in the ACC Championship, winning MVP of the game after throwing for 239 yards and a touchdown while leading the Tigers to a win over North Carolina.

Since then, he’s climbed the ranks in Clemson’s record books and enters his senior season among the top five in program history in career passing touchdowns, yards, and completions.

Klubnik will have plenty of help moving the ball down the field, with Antonio Williams and Bryant Wesco Jr. being ranked among ESPN’s top ten wide receivers in college football.

Clemson’s offensive line is also regarded as one of the best in the country. Offensive line coach Matt Luke has built up a strong reputation for himself, headlined by a National Championship win during his time at Georgia in 2021. Luke will lead a veteran unit featuring four graduate players who’ve combined for 120 career starts.
The outlook for Clemson football’s defense in 2025 is sky-high as the Tigers enter the season loaded with future pros and energized by key coaching changes. Pro Football Focus has Clemson’s defense ranked No. 3 in the country, complementing what they rate as the No. 1 offense nationally.

PFF’s Max Chadwick pointed to the defensive line as the strength of the unit, anchored by projected 2026 NFL Draft stars Peter Woods and T.J. Parker. “The Tigers boast the best defensive line in college football,” Chadwick wrote. “They’re both top-10 players in the nation and project as the best prospects at their respective positions in the 2026 NFL Draft.”

PFF also ranks Clemson’s secondary fourth overall and its linebacker corps inside the top 10, giving new defensive coordinator Tom Allen a deep and talented unit to work with. Allen replaces Wes Goodwin after Clemson’s defense struggled last season, ranking just 69th in yards allowed and 49th in points allowed per game.

The Tigers were 29th in ESPN’s SP+ defensive ratings a year ago, continuing a slide from the top-tier marks they posted under Brent Venables, who last had the unit ranked third nationally in 2021.

Woody getting after it. That's awesome. I mean, it probably cost him his job, but still. It was good motivation for the remainder of that Ohio State loss. The game they lost. To Clemson. That one. Not the other one(s), that one.

I'm running out of Ohio State smack. We had better cut this off.

I mean, other than the fact that your state has Cleveland in it. That will always be fertile ground, but still.

Cleveland had two southeastern suburbs of russians - maple heights (working class) and mayfield heights (more white collar)

The amount of tatted up hot blondes at my russian orthodox church was something to behold. As a 13 year old i often had to fake stomach aches so i didnt have to stand up in church…lol

I really only dated three Russian girls. One in high school for about a year and a half. One in college for about a year and a half. And then the first woman I dated after I got divorced for a year before that tragedy befell her.

I have not. I did date a Lebanese woman for a couple years, though. Well, her parents were from Lebanon. Like me, she was born and raised in America.
