Grizz needs to improve his play calling. We can’t keep up with the comeback win.

We can't sleep on anyone while we're missing our tackles.

It doesn’t matter; I have confidence that the Bucs will win next week, regardless.

This right here. And no one tell me Mayfield can't put the team on his back and win games when all seems lost. Yet another clutch performance with 2 minutes to play. It wasn't a TD throw this time, but it was still a win with under 2 minutes to play. I believe that's #6 since he's been a Buc.Primeminister wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 10:06 pm That final drive was a thing of beauty. Otton damn near played the entire game. The Texans pass rush forced that as he had to stay in and block on numerous occasions. Durham got some notable play time as well

This one is more intriguing. Morrison getting this many snaps for Dean tells me we're inching closer to a change at right corner. Dean is the only base DB that didn't play 100% and he wasn't hurt. Dennis also saw a decrease in his snaps as well.

Rachaad White did a lot of damage in 25 plays.

Had to travel last night for work, saw most of the game, but missed that final drive. Sounds legendary. Can't wait to catch up.

Re: Rapid Reactions Bucs beat Texans 20-19
The next game being out of conference, I don't think there is any need to try and rush any of these guys back. I'd almost bet the coaching staff will see it the same way. If they're ready, fine. If not, leave 'em on the bench.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 10:54 pmI was gripping about puting in Godeke earlier. Just like Evans last year.. I just hope we aren't rushing Wirfs and Godwin back.Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 10:51 pm
Kancey's didn't look good. And to hear it's a pec injury, those usually only turn out 1 way so let's hope for the best.
Goedeke shouldn't have made the trip. He didn't practice for 2 days and apparently the practice he participated in on Saturday, saying he was limited was being generous.
Baker is probably hurt but not injured. That was a very physical game.

Take a look at the box score and the team stats. We DOMINATED in every way/shape/form...other than the score. TOP...we had the ball 14 minutes more than the did. Rushing yards...crushed them.
Just imagine if this D got a turnover or two, we'd be thinking we're one of the best teams in the league.

Another reason I'm not hating Baker right now. Close games, both of them, as close as you can possibly get and...0 turnovers. Sure, he tried to bowl a strike in the fourth quarter on that scramble and White had to save him, but bottom line..no turnover.

I dont know about dominated. Passing yards were pretty even (191 vs 182). To your point we had the ball 14 minutes more but only had 94 more yards and 1 point than they did.acmillis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 8:54 am Take a look at the box score and the team stats. Just shows why they say its a game of inches. That tells me we made too many mistakes and have to get better, which is what you want. We have things to focus on and get better at as a team.
The game was even closer than the box score indicates.

He needs to. Dennis 2 weeks straight has been a liability on the field.

If they win this game in those cursed throwbacks, we are winning the SB.
This will be the sendoff year for Mike/LVD and retribution for Baker.

Honestly surprised at how little the TE's were in to really contribute protection. They need to work on those tandems more.
Tackle protect inside, TE outside
Rusher passes TE => TE present a target for the QB
With backup tackles these should've been the drills all week. For them and Baker. Not enough consistent chain-movers, too many deep shots downfield against a very good pass rush and very good coverage.

That dude is fucking preaching. Baker is flat out the truth. He isn’t the prettiest QB but this MF can ball & lead men. That’s it.Buc2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 8:04 amThis right here. Credit to the defense for not giving up more than 20 in either game.

He's not wrong. The pass game right now is a mess. 2 weeks straight, we're struggling to get the ball into our playmakers hands with well designed routes and calls. Our best passes right now are dump offs and check downs. We tried forcing the ball to Evans against Derek Stingley and Stingley won that battle.

Re: Rapid response _Bucs prevail over the Texans
I think this is a byproduct of the OL injuries. Baker isn’t comfortable in that pocket behind the 1Q or so. I haven’t checked the stats on this, but it seems like the opposing defenses start exploiting our pass protection more as the game goes on. This snuffs out our offensive production and downfield passing.Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 9:28 amHe's not wrong. Watching that 4th down scramble by Mayfield again and it looks to me like he chose to go at CJGJ once he knew he had the first down. Looked like he might have been heading for the sideline to get out of bounds and then says to himself, "Nah, not today. This is the way."
