Not so Rapid Reactions
Not so Rapid Reactions
No thread?
Impressive second half but still many mistakes in that half that ultimately cost us the comeback. What version of this defense is real?

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
The STs coach cannot have a job by tomorrow morning. That punt block at the beginning set us back the whole damn game.

We found our kick returner
Baker is still a Dawg & I trust him.
Bowles’ defense adjustments need to be studied. That second half was beautiful.
I hope we see the fucking Eagles in the playoffs

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
Not just STs. All 3 phases sucked balls for the entire 1st half. That is directly on the coaching staff starting at the head coach. Slow starts have been an issue for years.
Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
Bad decision by Baker. Bad officiating (Fumble that was not that led to 7 and bad no call with holding on the Eagles on Baker's throw).

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
I have gone through so much denial with this team but it is stockpiled with championship DNA. We punched the defending champions in the mouth and said "What are you going to do about it bitch?" and basically just ran out of time. We win this game with Mike Evans. I can't believe it but we might have just enough dog to get out of the NFC and into a Super Bowl. Our coaching just needs to get the hell out of its own way.
Meanwhile fire everyone on special teams.

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
Special teams did the lions share of costing us this game and nearly cost us the Jets game. I don't know if it's a function of our Oline being a jumbled mess or coaching, or both. Something needs to be done.
We missed Big Mike in this game. I only saw the first half, but I could tell even then their coverage was a function of Big Mike not being out there to thug one on ones.
We have some issues but we had a one score loss to the defending champs. If we can get Mike and Geodeke back and stay healthy, we might do something in January.

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
Wirfs looked great, glad to have him back. Right side of the line is in dismal shape.
Everything on offense seems difficult. Someone explain the lack of play action to me. Another huge test on the road against a great D with 10 days rest next week.

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
This game reminded me of the Broncos game last year.
Baker was off that whole game. Coen did very few favors in helping turn around a dire situation with his play design. We literally had to beg and plead for every single yard. That is exactly what happened today.
Where today's game was different was Baker improvised and created his own offense and manufactured 14 points.
While I am mad he wasn't making consistently good plays, the degree of difficulty for him was too high. I cannot be bitching about a few inaccurate throws here and there when he was responsible for 14 pts on his own.
This loss is big time on Grizzard and of course the STs.

We haven't looked sharp all season long. This talk about "synergy" in the preseason was bullshit. This offense has no identity other than what @Primeminister said. "Let's let our guys go be HIM". We dont threaten past the sticks. Run game is inconsistent at best. Just no flow at all.

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
i missed all but that last Q or so. But I see we had another blocked punt/TD return. Wth is with the STs?

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
This was a Big Mike type of game. Body up and go get the ball. EE will get there but not quite ready yet.
Loved seeing Godwin back. Another 1-2 games before we see him back to full game speed.
Griz has to help the offense with some better play calling. Hopefully he learns from this just like Liam and Dave did during their tenure. He showed some off it in the second half but not enough.
Bowles has to adjust faster and please no more soft zones.
Dixon needs to get his timing down faster and that ST line needs to get their **** together.
Great fight, scrappy, can’t wait to see this team at full strength in a few weeks

The defender came through almost unblocked. But Dixon acted as if he had time for a Sunday Mimosa and massage. He took FOREVER to get the ball off. I honestly thought he was gonna throw a pass with how long he took.

I'm not too worried about the game. We showed grit and didn't roll over and die, which we wouldn't have done last year imo.
We'll win the rematch later this season when it actually matters.

Proud of this team for fighting back after the bad start. Nothing to be ashamed of, if there was ever a loss to come out feeling ok its this one. We have to beat Seattle next week

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
If Grizz doesn’t evolve he will be the reason our season ends. We can’t just rely on individual excellence like this. GBH (go be Him) is not an offense regardless what Grizz thinks. Even if we had Big Mike the offense needs easy answers.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:32 pm We haven't looked sharp all season long. This talk about "synergy" in the preseason was bullshit. GBH is supposed to be relied on 1-2 times a game, not actually be the plan. What does practice look like? A bunch of 1 handed catches? I’m so confused with Grizz
Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
I know @Bootz is going dispute, but the Eagle were CONSISTANTLY mugging our guys. I distinctly remember one play were Rashaad White tried to raise his arms to catch a pass, but BOTH ARMS were held, so the ball hit him right in the chest.
Hell, even Brady was talking about being umcomfortable with the "handsy play" by the Eagles Secondary.
I'm proud that our guys didnt quit, even as Baker made ONE bad decision.
With Evans, we win that game.

This team has to avoid the fucking slumps from the past few seasons. Rebound and beat the Seahawks. Do not drop another game.
Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
I'm suspecting OBP chose Grizz not because he was the best option. I think they chose him because of continuity, the guys liked him, and they thought he might be good enough to remain competitive, but not enough to wow another team into hiring him away.Primeminister wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:42 pmIf Grizz doesn’t evolve he will be the reason our season ends. He's not horrible, but Grizz is a significant drop off from Coen.

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
The heat got to them and also having our offense in the field so much in the second half exhausted them. We beat ourselves (with the refs help) a lot today.Swashbuckler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:40 pmAgreed. Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
I'm sorry, he's horrible. What's this offenses identity? What are we good at other than Baker buying time and improvising? Baker completed 55% of his passes today. 289 yards and 149 of those yards came off of 2 amazing passes.__Chef__ wrote: ↑Sun Sep 28, 2025 4:49 pmI'm suspecting OBP chose Grizz not because he was the best option. I had a sus feeling about Grizz all the way back when he started going on about wanting to add more vertical elements to the passing attack.
Like bro, we had blueprint for getting the most out of Baker and our offense...why try to fuck with the brew???

Hope we meet them again.. we win on match-ups with Evans playing.
Bad things, coachable.. remove micro-fluke-plays.. we have a solid team, on to the next one

Re: Not so Rapid Reactions
What a fight.
We just got out faces beaten in. The good news is that this was the best team at their best and we hanged in there. They are so stacked at every position and all of them came to play tough and mean.
This was their A game. Their CBs bullied us, but they won't do that to Mike Evans. We even fought back on the ground. Some awful field position at times but our CBs hung with their healthy stud WR and Barkley didn't kill us.
Of course I would've liked a win. This was like the first time Iceland played the mighty ducks. Or the first time Chiefs whooped us in the regular season. We'll see Philly again.
