Couldn’t be more proud of Baker and Egbuka. Defense was miserable though. We got lit the hell up, but Logan Hall’s helmet saved the day and a win is a win.
I just worry this defense will keep this team from going far though.

Possible that game gets flexed to the 4:25 slot currently occupied by Baltimore vs Cleveland. No chance it gets flexed to Primetime though. That's Lions @ Eagles.

This game could determine which QBs should receive the MVP award.

I will be fair with 7 of those 27 from the Jets game being a blocked FG. However, the D has been absolute ass since the 4th quarter of that Jets game. We should’ve coasted and got lit up by a backup. We need better from this D or we won’t go far.

Fair enough. Even still, it's not good. Getting scored on 5 straight drives for TDs is bad football. We got lucky today that we played a defense that was just as bad as ours.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 7:57 pmI will be fair with 7 of those 27 from the Jets game being a blocked FG. They did not give up 27 to the Jets.
Outside of today they’ve been really good. Get Morrison and Dean back. Make a trade for Hendrickson!
Short fields ALL DAY due to special teams too. Brutal.

You might want to do some research on Hendrickson. He looks like he jumped right to his age 37 season. He has 2 sacks on the season.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 7:30 pm Hate on Jamel Dean all you want, but when he does not play our defense struggles.
Call the Bengals on Hendrickson NOW.
Right now, the big missing link on our defense is Kancey. It's popular to hate on him but when healthy, he is a big asset. Hopefully, he can be like McCoy and his injuries are just bad luck. I guess we will see how patient Licht is.
As of right now, our sack leaders are Vita Vea with 2 and LVD with 1.5. That is a bit of an issue. Yaya seems to have regressed. Reddick hasn't done much yet. Our linemen aren't getting any pass rush, aside from apparently Vea.
Fortunately, the secondary is playing well and it's the only reason we haven't given up a ton of points. With the amount of points we can potentially throw up, we need pass rush. When we get Evans and Geodeke back, I expect the offense to truly explode. We have the potential to make people abandon the run. Without pass rushers, the defense can't exploit that

The Bengals are a disaster and are playing from behind in every game. You can’t unleash pass rush in that kind of game script. He had a sack fumble on Goff today.

This defense hasn't been really good. We had been fortunate to play some under performing offenses and once we played a real one got punched in the mouth. Can't rush the passer worth a damn. The middle has been exploited all year long.
Also today, we kinda got to see why Bowles doesn't travel his corners. Zyon struggled today and made some very uncharacteristic mistakes.
This defense needs to step up in a major way. You're smoking the really good shit if you believe Jamel Dean is the catalyst for this defense.

Does our D get any credit for the turnovers? Genuinely asking because I didn’t see the first 3/4 of the game.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 7:18 pmSeattle was honestly the more physical team today. The difference was they missed a FG and turned it over twice, we got 10 points off those turnovers. They ran it down our throats with ease.Cheb wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 7:15 pm I'll watch the game tomorrow (gameplanning with my staff is how I generally spend my Sunday afternoons). Glad we got the dub.
Just browsing the box score though, we allowed nearly 500 yards of offense and 35 points. Either the Seahawks were more legit than I thought, or our defense got spanked. Maybe both.

Our lack of pass rush doesn't shock me. We were hoping Reddick at 31 and on a 1 year deal could rebound from a poor 2024 and bad attitude. We hoped Yaya could turn his "pressures" into actually getting to the QB. Not sure what we hoped from Braswell and I guess we were just content with Nelson.
This front 7 needs to have an actual infusion of talent. We haven't tried for years.

The fumble was a bad bad decision by the Seahawks backup WR.Babeinbucland wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 8:10 pmDoes our D get any credit for the turnovers? Genuinely asking because I didn’t see the first 3/4 of the game.
The INT was deflected off of Logan Hall's helmet. So that could go a number of ways.

And how great is it having Wirfs back? What an absolute stone wall he is. Can’t believe I get to watch top tier LT play from a Buccaneer in my lifetime

Can we realistically get Myles Garret via a trade? Can we afford his contract? Do you guys think a 1st, a 3rd, and Braswell can get him in a Bucs uniform within weeks? What do you guys think is fair compensation to the Browns for Myles?

I think you could give a 2nd to the Bengals for Hendrickson right now and they’d take it though.

Yes the D gets credit. They disrupted the throwing lane & caught the ball. The large majority of takeaways are offensive miscues taken advantage of by the defense. Just like last week’s deflection went against us this one helps us.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 8:13 pmThe fumble was a bad bad decision by the Seahawks backup WR.Babeinbucland wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 8:10 pm

We have to give credit considering we criticize the defense when they don’t catch the ball…happened earlier in the game at the 1 yard line.

No way in hell the Browns send Myles to play with a successful Baker Mayfield. They don’t want to risk 2 high profile players excelling elsewhereBahamian:bucfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 8:26 pm Can we realistically get Myles Garret via a trade? Can we afford his contract? Are you saying that because you think he should switch to WR or that you don't know he's their backup QB
