MVP: Baker Mayfield
MVP: Baker Mayfield
With all the injuries to offensive linemen and wide receivers, Mayfield is the reason the Bucs are 4-1. Without him, we’ll be 1-4 and lose to the winless Jets.
If the season ends today, Mayfield is the MVP.

Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
He has led four fourth quarter, last-minute comeback wins in just five weeks. Three on the roads

He’s definitely got to be in the discussion at this point.

Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
One win at a time. Gotta get the SF monkey off our back. Then you have to beat Goff. Still have match-ups with Allen and Stafford on the schedule. The rest takes care of itself.

Duh, no shit. Please read before posting. I mentioned that he should be the MVP, considering he played in first 5 games despite all those injuries.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 3:46 pm One win at a time. Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
In the first five games, Jared Goff has the highest completion rate. 75 percent

Do they give the MVP out after 5 games?Phantom wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 3:55 pmDuh, no shit. Please read before posting. Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
J.J. McCarthy is ass and lost his job to Carson Wentz. He’s been pretty ornery about it.
Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
Bucs will stop winning 1 score games in the last minute, at some point, right?
Vegas thinks so at least.

Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
yeah, eventually. Can't win them every single time. But, as soon as Evans, JMac, and Goedeke come back, even just two of them, I'm pretty sure we'll start averaging 30+/gm (or thereabouts) and the one-score games will be fewer and further apart. Just gotta be extra patient and smart for now. Once we get back some of these key pieces we should become more efficient offensively and that'll make things a bit easier on the defense as well. Plus, the back end of the season looks to be fairly soft, which will help on that score, obviously.
Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
I just tossed some money on Baker for MVP. Currently it pays out about 10X.
If we go 12 wins or more at this current pace I think he takes it

Or the Chiefs in '23-'24. Vs. this season. you can win them for awhile, assuming you have a really good-great defense, but eventually offensive inefficiencies will come back and bite you in the ass, and it doesn't matter what the logo is on the side of your helmet.

Re: MVP: Baker Mayfield
The defense hasn't shown its up to that task yet. That's why right now we're closer to the Vikings than the Chiefs team that made it to the Superbowl.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 6:58 pm

The Vikings went 13-4 and their point differential was -3. Ours is currently 3. Nearly impossible to have both good offensive and defensive units with a point differential that close.
Most hated man in America.

Ah, gotcha now. Agreed.
