First time for everything.
They did nothing when they saw how inept this pass rush was during the off-season and Preseason. The investment made into getting Reddick, plus the fact that Braswell is still young (I'm shocked you're jumping off of this train after how hard you sounded the table in support of him and came at me about the player he was), Licht ain't making a move.

Was definitely hoping for more from Braswell and Hall so far this year.

They may not do anything, but I think it's necessary if we're trying to make a run.

Braswell was a remarkably uninspiring pick at the time. And it, unsurprisingly, busted.

Not nearly enough people eating crow on Braswell honestly. He was a bad pick from the jump and has been even worse than even those most critical of the selection expected.

Having said this, we see what the record is and we see where the strengths and weaknesses are today. Pass rush and ILB are the obvious weak links that could be addressed by the trade deadline to have a real shot at making the most of this teams shot at the postseason.

Better late than never.

Our DL coaching isn't getting growth from anybody. Too late to fix that now, but that should be priority #1 in the offseason.

Pewter Report was calling him out all preseason. He couldn't even get pressure when the scrubs were in.

Time to move on after his rookie deal

That’s too bad…. I had high hopes for him. Most defensive players from Alabama play well in the NFL

We aren't doing anything at ILB. LVD could be playing as poorly as Sirvocea Dennis(honestly he's not far off). No chance in hell this staff does anything about it. Bowles has defended Dennis at every turn. And neither comes off the field much, other than a small handful of plays for Dennis.

We aren't doing anything at EDGE either. Again, $14mil investment in Reddick. They love Yaya. Braswell continues getting snaps.
The time for Licht to make a move would've been during TC.

Furthermore, Licht hasn't used this resource to help get this team better in over a year. The last trade he made was literally sending Carlton Davis to Detroit March 2024. Either he has way too much confidence in this roster, way too much confidence in his drafting abilities or knows he isn't that savvy at making these trades and chooses to stay away. It's probably a combination of all 3.

Just realized we're probably winning more than 13 games this season. Which probably means we're going to be vying for the 1-seed this year.

You'd cut a 2nd round pick one year and five games into their career? To what end?

If Licht has balls, he’ll make several midseason trades for defensive players.

Is he a productive part of this team? You don't even think so. You said he's invisible and you mentioned Licht making a move to bolster the position.

What are you keeping him for, his draft status?

I'm still not against signing Jackson Woodard off of the Texans practice squad.

If you want to include him as a trade sweetener or something I'm all for it. I don't think you just flat out cut guys unless there's a ready made replacement already on the roster.

Right, but the assumption during the offseason was the guys we have would make improvements. We're 5 games in and we see what we have. None of the pass rushers are getting it done, LVD is a shadow of his former self, and SVD isn't getting it done either.

Despite the offseason assumptions failing, the rest of the team has been good enough to get us to 4-1.

Now would be the time to push all the chips to the middle of the table.

You can pluck any UDFA off some teams practice squad to take Braswell's snaps. Again, what's the point in keeping him? He's not productive.

With LVD I think it's injuries and father time, mostly injuries that pile up and have made him the player that is lacking in the recognition plays he was known for.

Dennis is basically going through his rookie year and finding out the pressure that is put on Buc ILB's. I don't think there is a bunch of NFL players that we'd want, most are coming around after hard work and time while staying somewhat healthy.

LVD has 9 missed tackles and Dennis has 5.

Is LVD more or less cooked than Brooks was his final year? I honestly can't remember.
We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.
