Re: Bucs vs Lions discussion
Whether it's two or three on the inside we have to pressure Goff, if we plan on just having our OLB's pin their ears back and get to Goff they will try and hurt us with that if used to much.

It doesn't. There was a point made that the offer New England made wasn't verified and people are fighting tooth and nail to substantiate something that they can't. Well actually, fighting tooth and nail to believe a lie and get others to fall in line.Beatles123 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 18, 2025 5:05 am Im sorry: What the HELL does Godwin staying have to do with us beating the lions?! I'm not saying anyone lied except those believing and pushing the narrative that New England offered him $30mil aka more. That would be this board.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 17, 2025 7:33 pm
i don't have "a tune" about this at all. I just happen to have a subscription to The Athletic, saw that Dan Pompeii allegedly wrote the article, and decided to look the article up. And presto! there it was in all its black-and-white glory.
So, there's no specific 'quote' of Chris saying that in the article. But the article is there in The Athletic, written by Dan Pompei, and he wrote that Chris told him in an interview that the offer existed, about how much it was, and that he ended up turning it down because he and his wife "wanted to stay in TB."
Again, I don't see the issue, unless you believe that Dan Pompei, Chris, or Chris' wife lied. And then the Athletic exposed themselves to legal action by publishing it and then not retracting a lie.
Which is ridiculous on its face. And everywhere else, for that matter. Don't go all Flat-Earther conspiracy nut-ball over a missing quotation mark.

That’s some kind of mdb trade premonition for Jeffrey.
Re: Bucs vs Lions discussion
After this week first thing I will look at is conference wins. Did Green Bay stay without a conference loss and how many are 4-1 in the league. Which team ATL/FRISCO stays with 2 losses.
Indy at LAC which team went to 5-0 in the AFC. The moment we do not stay ahead in the won/loss column conference losses become really big.

Re: Bucs vs Lions discussion
Looks like Terrion Arnold is practicing this week, but won't play on Monday. Their secondary has been going through what we did last year. Injuries galore and practice squad guys filling in. They added Kyle Fuller to their practice squad this week to help after having to go to basic looks on defense against the Chiefs due to injuries. They currently have 5 DBs on IR and weren't able to put a nickel corner on the field last week for more than a handful of plays.
Kerby Joseph might play, but his knee is robbing him of effectiveness right now. Only other starter who looks like they will play is their nickel, Amik Robertson, who will be in Arnold's spot. Rock Ya-Sin at the other outside spot normally taken by D.J. Reed. 5 of their top 6 CBs couldn't suit up last week, looks like the same for this week so far.

Game time decision but he wants to play according to Bowles. Even if he sits out Monday it’s a very encouraging update.

Well, turns out the board was right in this case. Not only do we have Dan Pompei's word for it at this point, but I went ahead and checked with Adam Schefter, and not only did he post about it with the same details as Pompei, but he talked about it on his podcast. So at least that mystery has been solved.

i just did. Adam Schefter, the "NFL insider," reported the same details as Pompei. The argument died right there.

Uh, Adam Schefter posted the same terms and details as Pompei. You do know who Schefter is, right? And that he is the most unimpeachable source in the NFL universe? That GMs consult him about rumors/stories in the NFL? If Schefty said it, it's true.

Lol, you think I'm mad? I'm the furtherest thing from. I'm laughing my ass off.
I was just trying to clear things up, if I could. Which I did. Adam Schefter not only posted a tweet using the same exact details about NE offering $30M/yr as well as Godwin rejecting it in favor of TB's offer, he said it out loud on his podcast. The most trusted source of insider info in the NFL. There's nothing left to debate, my friend. Schefty is never wrong, not even one time about anything NFL-related.
it's not even that big a deal. just go find either the tweet or his podcast and accept that you died on the wrong hill and move on. It's okay, I promise. We're all wrong now and again. It was just your turn.
Re: Bucs vs Lions discussion
There’s no point in arguing with Bootz. Just ignore him and move on. He’ll eventually give up the arguments, I promise.
