Then using that entity to "guarantee advertising dollars" to another player who might agree to a lesser contract knowing they have an "endorsement gig" to supplement?
We may find out because of this: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/461 ... rd-payment

Would seem there would be a law for that, or maybe any agency to monitor business legitimacy. Back in the day we had CFPB.. that was cool

The NFLs rules.

Teams and players can't participate in colluding and using endorsements to supplement a players salary. That would be considered an attempt at circumventing the salary cap.

And well what? That's the answer to what's stopping players from doing that.

Posted a link earlier in response to Chef. Kawhi Leonard was hired for a no-show job by a company the Clippers’ owner bought that seems to have been done solely to pay Leonard and get around the salary cap. Still under investigation, but doesn’t look good. Only came to light because of a podcaster.

Baker now has 3 games this season completing less than 60% of his passes. He had 0 such games all last year.

Haters going to eat good this week.
We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.

Play calling is not as good.
Offensive line is not as good.

I am still not sold on Baker either, but he has been winning. I just don't see him like a Josh Allen type player. Can you win a Super Bowl with him? Yes, but I also see him taking too long to make a decision. Something we did not see with Brady.

What are you saying exactly? This wasn't a good showing by him. We should just ignore it and move on?

He always has been and always will be a tick slower than you'd ideally like processing information. That's not his game. A lot of that comes from him not being that great at seeing things pre-snap.

I was one of his biggest doubters when they signed him initially (I see this has been pointed out recently, lol). I take no pleasure in him regressing tonight.

The disappearing accuracy, bad decision-making, scrambling attempts that turn into sacks and fumbles. It was all there tonight. I don’t know why.

Missing the wide open touchdown pass with a totally clean pocket. then forcing the ball into no window (double coverage) in the end zone to EE. These are plays Baker eliminated for a while. And presumably will resume eliminating.

It was a real bad night though. He was sped up bigly.

IMO, it was Hutchinson. First pass play he got through Heck, Mayfield remembered last year with Skule - who is a better pass blocker. Shortened his clock all night.

Then at some point messed his lower leg/foot up and wasn't planting right when he threw to drive the ball in there, ended up sailing high so many times.

All of this and our guys running routes running into each other, and not enough plays designed to get guys open against man coverage.

Look, as I've said before, the game was Murphy's law incarnate. EVERYTHING sucked. It wasn't just him, but yeah: He needed to be better on some key throws and that does matter.

nothin' we can do about it but hope he'll bounce back, but honestly, I think it was just a bad night all round. He can and has done better.

Best thing that happened, the Baker Haters will be out in full force. Baker needs that chip on his shoulder.

This was simply a bad game by him. The guy who was hyper efficient the last three prior weeks and was pulling miracles out of his ass would have won the game for us, because the opportunities were there.

Dak and Mahomes will rightfully take lead over Baker.

Baker has to soul search and figure out why he looked timid all game instead of trying to have fun playing the game.
