Top brass is meeting at FSU as we speak. The buzz I'm hearing is Norvell will be gone within 24 hours.

Dabo's $60M buyout is the only thing keeping his seat at tolerable temperatures. Some schools may be able to pull that trigger, but not Clemson.

UPDATE: Sources close to Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin believe he’s “intrigued” by the vacant Florida HC role, according to CBS Sports’ John Talty. Kiffin is currently in the midst of his sixth season with the Rebels.

Before Napier was fired, Florida AD Scott Stricklin had already been making calls to “those around Kiffin,” Talty added.

“There are risks involved with hiring Kiffin, one of the most unique personalities in the sport, and industry sources who know Stricklin have previously speculated to CBS Sports the AD might be hesitant to strongly pursue him,” Talty said. “That has shifted this coaching cycle, according to sources, as Kiffin has emerged as the name boosters and fans most want.

“There aren’t many, if any, jobs that could pull Kiffin away from Ole Miss at this point, but Florida is on the very short list of jobs that would at least make him consider leaving. Lane is well aware of the strong tradition and fan support Florida has, and there are some who know him who believe he is more than intrigued with the idea of being the spiritual successor to Steve Spurrier.”

This Saturday’s game is the most important in USF history. Win, they’re in playoff

There’s a fear going on in Gainesville that the Gators might be interested in hiring the USF coach. This is another group 5 coach hire failure for the Gators.

Rest assured, it’s Lane Kiffin. Most of fans and boosters want him

I like Kiffin, always have. He'd be a good score.

They're 3.5 point favorites, but I think they win by 13.5.... or more.

I've said this before, but I don't watch college football. If I wanted to watch grass grow, I have a back yard full of it. That said, I'm calling it now... Julian Sayin is going to be a great NFL QB. I believe the kid is a sophomore, but only playing his first year, and this kid knows what he's doing out there. I don't know who has him ranked where, or if 2027 crap is even out (willing to bet something is), but that dude's going #1 overall.

USF plays Navy on Nov. 15. This could be a big game for the AAC conference lead if both are still undefeated in the conference. Even if Navy loses to #12 ND the week before this game, that's a non-conference game.

There’s a reason no one talks about the not ranked Navy; they’re an average team.

But you guys? Weird

They still have to play against North Texas, Memphis, SMU, and USF. I bet they’ll lose three to four games.

The AAC is probably the best nonP5 (“mid major”) there has ever been. Lots of these teams would do OK in the Big Conferences
