Bucky's injuries still seem to be an issue.

LVD obviously needs surgery on that knee. And he needs to retire. They're being tight lipped on Goedeke. AWJ, looking back, hasn't been right since the playoff game in Detroit last January. McCollum always seems to be a step or 2 too late or always diving at some ball carriers feet.

Kind of wish we could bench our starters for this game given how dirty and filthy the saints org is. I really don't want Egbuka's knee taken out intentionally like Godwin did.
We're paying the price for a half-measure taken by The Union 160 years ago.

The New Union will correct that mistake.

Can someone explain to me what “Limited” really means they did or did not do in practice?

It's a designation never given to Russell Wilson.

Has all the makings of a “trap” game. But this year has been different with these type of games so far for us. Will we keep wining the games we should?

Trap game or not, this game is an issue. The Saints staff will lock in on our weaknesses revealed in film study. Additionally, I see our guys moving into desperation mode and actually trying too hard. What looked like a total gimme has become a potential season changing nightmare. I hope not but my gut tells me we really need to find a way to win this one, while avoiding any more fucking injuries.

Detroit was the trap. The obvious L. Because this one is “in the bag.” It’s a mentality I had hoped didn’t impact this team because they’re “different,” but it’s not easy to drown out the noise. MVP talks. #1 in power rankings. That performance in Detroit was as predictable as death and taxes.

Should we attack their Center or their 4 1st round offensive linemen?

1st round only means they were good in college.

By ever metric their offensive line is ranked near the bottom in the league. So i say attack everywhere and keep them guessing.

Historically, the Saints play a lot of 1 Man Free. That is the defense that just crippled our offense last week due to our only being able to get 4, and sometimes only 3, eligibles out in routes so that we can help the RG/RT in pass protection. Saints don't have the personnel or coaching that the Lions have, but I wouldn't be surprised if we still have some problems on offense this week due to our extreme deficiencies at RG and RT combined with their propensity to be able to double cover a pair of eligibles from 1 Man Free and protect from QB scrambles to a degree.

We need to be able to run the football, get our Screen game going, and marry the two.

The Bucs IDL needs to identify what they do well and add to it. It needs massive improvement.

They have Brandon Staley now and he has typically been more zone heavy in his career (67% with the Chargers) and the Saints have definitely played more zone this year (77%!) than they traditionally did as one of if not the most man to man D’s in the league.

That being said the Lions definitely exposed our kryptonite against man and you have to think other defenses will try to duplicate it until we show we can beat it. Almost all of Egbuka’s production is against zone.

I think the Bucs expected the Lions to play more zone because of the state of their secondary and we just could not adjust.

It would be better if they conveyed these kinds of roster elevations as follows:

“Bucs are elevating some dude…and some other dude. I guess?”
