This is the sort of bar topic you might have with your budddie as the 12:00 games are finishing up but the 330 games havent started…when you are several beers deep
You can define blue blood however you want, I’m sure it will be some kind combination of history and current relevancy
Limit your list to 10 schools at most…who would you consider NCAA Football Blue Bloods
For me in no particular order
1. ND
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma
6. Alabama
7. Georgia
8. USC
9. Miami
10. Clemson
FSU, LSU would be next ones
List of “Blue Bloods”

USC - yes
Texas - maybe
Clemson - no
Miami - no
Georgia - no
To me, a true blue blood has a history of success. A storied history. Think national championships back in 1920. With consistent success sprinkled along the way. You’re gonna have some error eras. But you’re never irrelevant for 25 years.
You can definitely lose blue blood status over time

Re: List of “Blue Bloods”
I think you could even make an argument for Army & Navy. Sure...they haven't been world beaters since the 50s, but their storied history alone should grant them Blue Blood status imo.

Don't tread on me
