Anyway, about Georgia-Florida game, it was a catch, and Gators should have won that game.

Breaking: Auburn has fired coach Hugh Freeze, sources tell Pete Thamel.
He’s gone 6-16 in the SEC over his three seasons and 15-19 overall.
Re: NCAA football 2025
The CFP rankings will be revealed next week. Ohio State and Indiana are locked to play in the playoffs.
Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Ole Miss, have a 99% chance of making the playoffs.
ACC- Georgia Tech, Louisville or Pittsburgh??? take your pick
Big 12- BYU or Texas Tech take your pick
Group of 5-Navy or Memphis? take your pick
at large- Texas, Vanderbilt and Tennessee

Re: NCAA football 2025
Damn it!
Re: NCAA football 2025
And it's at least 6.
Re: NCAA football 2025
It's multifactorial.
Firstly, Moore is a run game guy, and as such we deemphasize the passing game on gamedays, hence why we have three times as many rushing TDs as passing ones and more rushing yards than passing yards. Second, we don't give Underwood layups to get him in rhythm, stuff like boots and easy stuff to the flats; especially if your run game is clicking, moving the defense where you want them via run action shouldn't be difficult. Third, we don't exactly have elite pass catchers to exploit secondaries and play the matchup game.
Fourthly, I don't think Moore is a great offensive mind. We are winning by having a better roster than our opposition, not by being clever or playing extraordinarily well. And when we can't out-talent the opposition, I expect Michigan to fall flat on their face, as they did versus Oklahoma and USC who were far more physical than we were, and likely Ohio State will punk us this year.
But what do I know?

Re: NCAA football 2025
A lot will be sorted out the next couple of weeks when Okla goes to Bama, Texas goes to Georgia, Oregon goes to Iowa, and BYU heads to Texas Tech. Didn't get to watch much football since I've been away but followed it and have been really impressed with what I've read on Indiana.
As far as my Irish go, like I said, haven't watched much, but the feedback on Carr has been great. I know they're a much better team now than they were Week 1 as they have a lot of freshman playing this year. Really hoping no one persuades Freeman to leave as he has our recruiting to almost the best in the nation. I saw some highlights on the A&M game and it looks like they technically "won" that game because of two terrible calls (one which was a no-call on the winning TD) on that last A&M drive. Figures it was Buchner who dropped the damn snap on the extra point. He's the Bill Buckner of Notre Dame.
Oh, and seeing Brian Kelly get fired was an early Christmas present

Re: NCAA football 2025
Today, we have some great football games.
my pick:
BYU vs Texas Tech: BYU
Texas A%M vs Missouri: Texas A%M
LSU vs Alabama: Alabama
Upset:
Ohio State vs Purdue: Purdue... why not? (not saying it'll happen)
I remembe rthat game very well. I believe it was the worst losses to an unranked team in Ubran Myers career.

Re: NCAA football 2025
Texas Tech is really good. I'm really impressed with that team. They're the one team in the Big 12 that I think has potential to make some noise in the tourney. I mean, their only loss came with their QB hurt. Outside of that, they've steamrolled everyone...and they're destroying BYU right now (who I believe is a fraud).
Re: NCAA football 2025
I am watching them play BYU, and they look pretty solid. Then again, BYU looks like trash, so it's hard to judge Tech's dominance against what seems like overrated competition.Navybuc wrote: ↑Sat Nov 08, 2025 12:59 pm Texas Tech is really good. Re: NCAA football 2025
Why do the South Florida Bulls have two fullbacks with an interception?
Re: NCAA football 2025
They need to do away with these automatic bids for conference winners. ACC is horrible and there isn’t even a ranked team from non power 5. Just pick the 12 best teams. Sad that Texas may be left out for North Texas or Old Dominion.
Also keep the playoff at 12. These rumors of going to 16…24…or 28 teams is ridiculous. 12 is the perfect max.

I agree. They're trying to model it after basketball where you get Cinderellas making a run..... because some small school has 5 seniors playing against a blue blood's 5 freshmen..... the kind of thing that doesn't happen in football.
Re: NCAA football 2025
It doesn't. Boise was probably as good a non-power school as you are ever going to get last year, and not even they could contend with a Penn State. If they are ever as good as advertised, then let them make the top 12 and prove their worth. Other than that, just let the best 12 teams duke it out.Kress wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 5:59 pmNavybuc wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 4:31 pm They need to do away with these automatic bids for conference winners. Re: NCAA football 2025
At what point are you taking advantage of amateur athletes? 20 games a season? Really.
