A player with a crack cocaine addiction is probably a risk pick.

Give me Nolan Smith or a top 4 OT.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
You mean a developmental player or a project? Yeah sure, there are plenty of those and they are often some of the biggest winners.
Never heard of a player who could benefit from coaching being referred to as a "risk pick" before.
"I don't know boss, you're counting on me actually coaching and developing? That's a big risk."

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
Ah, there we go. That makes way more sense.
Yes, please no crackheads.

I did not think Harrison was a kicker.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 2:53 pm Spoiler alert: We're drafting Anton Harrison. Doesn't matter who's on the board, Licht still select him.
The Bucs draft has zero mystery to it due to how predictable Licht is.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
It kinda sounds like you're trying to use "predictable" in a derogatory fashion... As if being the M Night Shamalan of drafting would be desirable?
"Wow, that was a great pick" > "Wow, I didn't see that coming!"

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
I mean, I wouldn't consider it a good thing that a shit site like Pewterreport has been able to accurately predict the Bucs top pick in three the previous four drafts, with the 2020 draft they picked the position we would target, and 2018 they knew there would be a good chance that Vea is the pick.
If Licht is that predicable to dogshit fan sites like PP, then the NFL would easily be just as informed and can easily run circles around Licht when it comes to trades and whatnot. If another team covers Harrison, they knew for a fact they have to jump us because that's how predictable Licht is with his picks.
If you consider that a good quality for your GM, then great, you should be a happy camper tonight.

Some players need 3 turns of the rubik’s cube, others need 10.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
Jaylin Hyatt breaks out bigger than Hendon Hooker.
That's the only hot take I have for this draft.
Kurt Warner's silver beard looks great. There's another one.

Picks 42/45/50 would work for me.

Because they're Missourians, who suck. That's part of the reason I hate the Chiefs so much. Fuck this state.

We now officially have the worst QB situation in the NFC south. And potentially the worst roster and coaching staff
Good stuff.

I really like watching Bryce Young play, and I hope he has a successful career, even though he's a Panther. But I really worry about him staying healthy. The Vita Vea's of the world are gonna crush him.

Knew Houston was going Stroud no matter what.
Most hated man in America.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
Is stroud better coming out of college than Watson?
I don't know, man.

Throws some sweet accurate passes.
Wow Houston!!
Wow Houston!!
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Draft Thread
Stroud was truly awful against pressure. What’s this pocket poise they’re talking about? Odd.
