I think id have to go with Barron so we can have our own Brian Branch.
I like both Starks and Barron. I think Starks may have more versatility and scheme fit, so I would choose Starks.

Will Johnson is a very smooth athlete. I think he's going to be really good, but his tackling, or lack of tackling can sometimes show up on film and that's not an issue for Barron or Starks.

And yeah, taking the best available corner would also be hard to pass up. if you have a first round grade on him.

That is a good question.

That would be a two horse race between Barron and Johnson for me. Which way I would go would depend heavily on the medical eval of Johnson and what my DC would covet most.

IF Johnson is healthy, and we are okay with concerns about his long speed, dude has CB1 potential and I would be okay with that. Barron doesn't have those question marks. And yes, he's smaller, and there's a strong argument to be made that Barron's potential as a true lockdown corner is low...but he's productive as shit, has positional versatility, and plays hard.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say Bowles would prefer Barron, and if so I would be onboard. He's fast, tough, gets turnovers, and has the ability to play all across the secondary. Bowles loves himself big corners, but he certainly doesn't lean towards (reportedly) slower ones.

But honestly, I trust the process. Any of those three are going to play tons of reps for us, and I would welcome any of them in pewter.

I think you have to take Johnson.

Dean was a 4.30 flat type athlete coming out of school. And his struggles with processing (double move, anyone?) is evidence that a mental 5.3 renders a physical 4.3 less effective.
