Did you read the story? If that article's description of the incident is true, including the victims story, that wasn't even close to self defense.

Police detectives reportedly obtained footage of what appears to be Brown punching another man, before taking the gun of a security officer and running toward the man Brown had punched. Per the warrant, cellphone video shows a pair of gunshots, as Brown approached the victim.

Several days later, the victim met with police detectives. He allegedly said that, after the initial fight had been broken up, Brown “began to run toward him with a firearm” and shot twice. The victim said he was possibly grazed in the neck.

If a gang of people are attacking one, that individual has a right to use a firearm in self defense. Does that fit here? I don't know.

If the video of the attempted murder with a firearm is real, then it was not self defense. Period.

When people say "What kind of sicko thinks of these things" its usually because the part of the brain that filters our worst impulses isn't working. We don't even realize how much sick, twisted shit we have filtered out. The effects of CTE doesn't appear to be a whole lot different but it is definitely at a smaller scale than most

All I can say is it’s a good thing he wasn’t a better shot or he’d be in a lot more trouble.

I say he pleas not guilty by reason of insanity. Perhaps using possible CTE as an excuse. That might even work in his case because he obviously has mental issues.
