Nope, just Mahomes and Mayfield.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:13 pmOk? Are we swapping the coaching staffs too? These hypotheticals are ridiculous.CannonFire wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 11:36 am
I'm not saying the Chiefs would do it, I'm just asking YOU if YOU would just flip them 1 for 1. You said that the Chiefs are 6-0 because of their defense. My point is that your stance (they're 6-0 because of their defense), is meritless because you'd still take Mahomes over Mayfield. I'd contend that our record would be better than 4-3 with Mahomes and the Chiefs would be worse than 6-0 with Baker. Meaning, the Chiefs aren't 6-0 because of their defense like you're suggesting.
Mahomes’ numbers and the Chiefs’ numbers as an offense this year aren’t good. He has 6 TD passes and 8 INTs. They aren’t 6-0 because Mahomes is playing well and carrying them.
The most points they’ve given up in a game this year is 25. We’ve given that up+ in every game but 2.
Baker and the offense are the reason we have 4 wins.
You understand that the reason you think their offense isn't good is because it's not good based on historic numbers, right? You're comparing this years Chiefs offense to past "Chiefs" offenses and not the current NFL. As of right now, they ranks 10th in yards per game and 13th in points per game. That's actually not too bad. They're also doing that with their top WR out since W4, they're #2 WR (Marquis Brown who was supposed to be their #1 WR), has been out all year and their RB1 out since W3. There are a LOT of offenses that would not be ranked in the top 13 (points) or top 10 (yards), if they lost all 3 of their top play makers by W4. Probably like 30 of them.
Your stance on this is kinda funny. You lauded Mayfield for last year and you're minimizing Mahomes this year. This year, KC's defense ranks 5th in points against, we ranked 7th last year. We only won 9 games last year against a relatively easy schedule with the 20th ranked scoring offense while KC is going to hit 12 or 13 wins this year with probably a top 10 offense by seasons end... and you're saying it's because of their defense.

Incorrect, our offense is the reason for 2 wins, not 4. Our defense is the reason we beat Detroit. I know, you're going to point to the TD run by Mayfield in the 3rd Q as the reason we won that game... and you would be wrong. Why? Two reasons... 1) Our defense gave up only 16 points to a teams that's averaging over 30 points per game (we won and only scored 20). 2) Our offense put up a whopping 27 yards on 3 drives in the 4th Q. If our defense doesn't turn them over 3 times in the 4th Q (1 Int, 2 on downs), we lose that game. Also, our defense was just as responsible for the Washington win as the offense. Our defense gave up 14 points when the game mattered. The 'oh-by-the-way' TD is much like our last TD last night... it just made the game look closer than it was. Yeah, our offense put up a lot of points, but they really only needed to put up 17.
I think the biggest reason for our offense being better than last year is Coen being a lot better than Canales. I don't think Canales was really all that good. I mean, he was "ok", but a lot was made of him that I thought was sunshine pumping. Our offense is much better this year and nothing much really changed except scheme.
