What a game. What a great finish. Baker is a baller. Defense played better today, particularly vs. the run. overall, loved the grittiness of the team.

STs needs to get their shite together.

Baker Mayfield is a MVP candidate in my opinion. When the team needs him to be a magic man, he has delivered more often than not.

I know our running game was HUUGE today, but there is something about Baker's play style that makes it feel like he is THE Superman once all is said and done.

Ugly wins are always better than ugly losses.

Team win from the massive failures in all the parts of the game to great plays to get the win

Baker is hard to quantify imo. The team has taken on his gritty, never quit attitude. That’s a positive, but it’s not a quantifiable thing.

To be fair, both things can be true. Baker is a heart attack waiting to happen at all times because you never know when one of his brain farts will strike. And for better or worse, he is liable to become the 2nd best QB in team history after Brady. Not that was have this, magnificent, illustrious history after 50 years.

He is more or less everything we wanted out of Winston had Winston been capable of simplifying his penchant for hero ball

WHAT A GAME! WHAT A GAME!!!!

The defense was was BALLING!

Bake Mayfield is a BALLER!

Bucky & Rashad is a LETHAL combination!

Tykee Smith might be our best safety! (Yes, I said that)

Godecki (sp), our RT may be the mvp of our line. When he went out, the entire flow of the offense went to garbage!

David................how do you drop that int!?

Our special teams was hot garbage!

Our kicker seems to have some emotional issues. He needs to seek help!

Our oc, Grizzard, gizard or what ever his name is NEEDS to study our plays AND playcalling sequence from last year!

Loved this game! Great game! Reminds me of my ole school defensive Buc teams!

Go Bucs! Great win!

Now guys, go and ice up! Cause I am certain the entire team is sore!

I want to know what made this your moment of resignation. Not throwing shots at all. I’m curious why this particular game.
He didn’t try too hard to do too much. He so often forced things or step in to pressure. He just played the “smartest” game he’s ever played.

I was impressed and found myself excited rather than anxious on that last drive.

I give great credit to Bowles and the defense for keeping us in the game long enough to finally get our drive.

When Chubb scored quickly I felt this was good for us having all timeouts, 2 minute warning in 4 down territory. I just believed we had a great shot under these circumstances. Everybody watching looked at me crazy when I said this was a blessing in disguise when Chubb scored.

Thank you Texans for not knee it on the one with Chubs.

Man we need to get that Oline healthy.

Looks like Dean is no longer the starting CB. Good.

Man if Baker puts a little air on that ball to Emeka on the sidelines, he would have had 4 TDs in 2 games.

Special teams, FU!

A win is a win, and it sets us up nicely for a possible Godwin and Wirfs throwback game.

Also, we are not Fully healthy, I can't wait to see what Baker does with a healthy OLINE

Game ball to Baker

I mean, Baker is the MVP of this game. Despite the ridiculous injuries to the offensive line, Baker never gave up and fought hard for the win.

If we see more of this season, he will win the MVP award over Josh Allen.

Was that intentional? It felt a little intentional.

Bowles will probably not divulge it even if it was.

Reposting from the other thread because I guess we're packing in here:

I had no faith that the offense was going to come back to win us the game at the end...and then Baker baked on 4th down as only he can.

That was a big-dick drive, and I for one am impressed.

- Baker did well, overall, for as much as he was hit and consistently running for his life.
- Rachaad White had one of his better games as a Buc, imo. He didn't rack up yards and stats, but he was incredibly clutch.
- Bucky had some money snaps there at the end.
- The offensive line...oh boy. For only one starter (Mauch) being at his normal position, that was okay. We didn't help them as much as I thought we would've. They still blocked for 169 rushing yards against a good Texans defense.
- Evans was harassed all game by one of the better young corners in the league and still made some plays, despite getting ALOT of attention his way.
- EE was injured, maybe? Certainly didn't look as smooth as he was in the first game. That drop in the final two minutes was killer.
- Sheperd actually looked competent, for the most part.
- The defense overall I think did okay. Greg Gaines really stepped up for Kancey in relief duty. Glad to see Roberts getting some snaps and a half sack. Vea made some great plays, particularly at the goal line. Edge rush largely (again) invisible.
- Dennis was again bipolar. Maybe just hold him out of the first drive from now on.
- LVD looked old. Stiff in the hips on his drops, dropped the pick.
- Tykee looked like a stud with that sack. Zyon looked tentative after getting burned early on that first touchdown. Winfield had some baaad angles in pursuit.
- Special teams... don't get me started.

I think overall, that was a good team win. We had shitty special teams, and very poor pass protection from the OL... but we still moved the meat in the run game, Bucky/Shad had a great game between them with 180+ combined yards, and made defensive stops when we needed them.

2-0 feels good.
